Sandy Paws HATES YOUR DOG

I just moved into the area and was searching for a new daycare for my dog. I found Sandy Paws which looked really great and close by. Called and made an appointment for the initial EVALUATION, got my dogs shots all updated and ready to go. Went there and the woman working at the time gave my dog one nasty eye and said, "he's a pit bull and we don't take them." ... I thought that was the whole idea of an EVALUATION, so that they can EVALUATE the dog and see if it is a good fit.

Sandy Paws should be ASHAMED of themselves and has NO RIGHT calling them a pet caring establishment. Not when you ostracize certain types of dogs just because of a bad rep. DO YOUR RESEARCH! and you will see that this breed, naturally, is NOT a harmful breed but a companion server just like most dogs.

Keep in mind that neither their WEBSITE nor on the phone call to make appointments do they list or mention that they do not allow certain breeds.

The town itself in which the Grooming Boutique resides holds restrictions over certain breeds.

Unfortunately the breed you have has a restriction by that town

- I do not work for SP, or anywhere in town.

I was born and raised and left years ago. Just shocked that you didn't ask for a reason why or are not educated on town policy.

Obviously your dog is not properly registered with that town or possibly you do not reside in town.

Hopefully this resolved your issue.

They were very rude and didnt seem to care about dogs at all !!!!!!

My dog barks maybe a little more than the average dog but it was also his first time there ! they gave him a bath called me rudly said your dog ready !there were other dogs there think for the daycare if u do have dogs that go to daycare u b better of leaving them in a crate at home thay r not very good with dogs god knows what there doin behind closed doors if thats the way they were to me in public!they were outrageously expensive to !guess i got to go through phone book and try to find someone that likes there job!!!!!!

Sandy paws Winthrop MA=zero class

Brought my shih tzu in to be groomed, advised not to cut eyelashes, short kennel cut, round head, and clean up face. (no mustach)Along with all the normal toy breed extras (ears,glands) picked her up and was charged $55 and while she looked good, nothing was really done. (I even gave them a photo). I called later to see what we could work out and as my dogs visor, and hair in less than a week is covering her eyes again! (because she was washed and brushed only) I was happy when I heard ok bring her down (the following day) but call first.

Happy that they would work her in I called as told the next day. At that time I was told I got what I asked for and would have to pay for her apt again. Stunned I asked if she went to the hair salon and was uphappy or needed additional services due to a screw up would she Pay again!? She yelled through the phone that I got exactly what I asked for, and they do not work for free. (well great neither do I!)I told her I would pay but would not be coming back. I asked if she was the owner (of course not) she reluctantly gave me the owners name. Rude, and unwilling to help (us) a new client, she hung up on me. Seriously? Wow I won't even dignify that with a response!

I would not recommend bringing your business to this location. At the very least she could have been empathetic to her "new" clients needs to earn future business. Networking is huge in this area and manners are not a privilege!! These folks just want to take your money, and have proven to be rude, and extremely unreasonable. Sad really especially in these times. Stick with BYOD in Southie! These guys know how to treat you, and your pets with CLASS and respect.
