Last Shuttle to Santa Fe is Unnecessarily LATE
New management took over Sandia Shuttle in the Spring of 2017. The Last shuttle to Santa Fe used to be at 11:45 p.m.
The new shuttle schedule has the last shuttle to Santa Fe at 12:30 a.m. This is ridiculously late. Many people on the Jetblue flight that lands at Sunport at 11:08 p.m. (and often is early) wind up waiting nearly and hour and half for this shuttle.
Why????? At the end of a long travel day who wants to wait around the airport? Plus, getting to Santa Fe at 1:30 a.m.
or later is awful when you have to get up early for work the next day. Not to mention that if you don't have a car, you would have to call an Uber or Lyft to pick you up at the drop-off site.

Slow and dangerous
drive on july 30 Safety and speed were not there. This was a drive from santa fe to the airport.
The driver arrived 15 minutes late. He was incredibly slow. On the city streets he drove often at 10 miles an hour. On the freeway he was consistently 10-15 miles below the speed limit.
But safety was an even greater concern. Driving overly slow put us at risk. While exiting onto us 25 he stopped abruptly rather than merging. He frequently took food to eat while driving meaning he did not have 2 hands on the wheel (it you were 15 minutes late couldn't you have eaten ahead of time?) Most scary was that he took a jar of orange juice to drink 3 times requiring him to try to drive and unscrew the jar and drink from the jar simultaneously.
His name is creighton. This was simply unsafe and very unprofessional

Late pick-up for both arrival & departure
On recommendation from Sandia, I reserved in advance for travel from airport in Albuquerque to Santa Fe. The shuttle did not show up on time for previous reservations, so their service was already running late and on "over-flow". Then, our van overheated and broke down on the highway halfway from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. After a wait of over 30-45 minutes, no replacement van had arrived to pick us up, nor did Sandia offer to send any other means of transportation. Eventually we passengers had to call 3 taxis (at our expense) in order to make it into Santa Fe for our respective appointments that day. By that point, a few of us had already missed the beginning of previously scheduled events.
While we were re-imbursed for the initial reservation, which I do appreciate, Sandia made no offer to re-imburse us for the cost for the taxi fare(s), which were covered at our expense. I had also sent an e-mail to them requesting this, which was met without response.
As well, for the return ride, the shuttle arrived 20-25 minutes late. I was flying internationally and had to be at the airport 2 hours ahead of time; on my side, I had accounted for that, expecting adequate shuttle service, but felt stressed as I arrived with barely enough time.
For a first-time experience using Sandia Shuttle Express, I was not impressed with the service, and unfortunately, would not feel confident in relying on Sandia in the future.

Shuttle Reservation Review
Had a reservation, paid in advance, arrived early...could have gotten on the earlier shuttle but they chose to accommodate the folks that had no reservation. They ran at a minimum a half hour late and clearly they were stressed but rude is just that, rude!
And they were rude!!! will definitely not recommend them!
Old Dirty Van, Old Dirty Driver--Horrible Experience
The van smelled and was absolutely filthy. The van arrived incredibly late, and not only was no apology offered but the driver was very rude and angry.
An absolute horrible experience from beginning to end. Sandia Shuttle has you wait for pick up outside with no shelter offered in the dead of winter, and than driver shows up 40 minutes after they were scheduled. I attempted to call the office to find out why shuttle was late and was put on hold for an extended period, and could not reach a person. When I finally did connect Holley yelled at me, and told me in an angry disgusted voice to just wait.
What a disaster. The ride is not inexpensive, yet it looks like they have been using the same van since 1982 and the last had it cleaned in November of 2000.
And the customer service is the pits. It seems all the employees hate their jobs, or at least hate there customers.
Dangerous and Filthy Sandia's Monopoly is baffling!
I bought a roundtrip ticket to /from the Albuquerke airport to Santa Fe. The first van was filthy and smelled like the gas. The van wound up with 11 passengers even though it only fits 10. The last passenger had to sit on the wheel well the whole time.
Far worse however was the nightmare return to the ALB airport. Before we left Santa Fe the driver was informed of a fatality accidient on I25 and advised to exit the highway BEFORE the accident site. He did not and we wound up in dead still traffic for hours. Worse the van broke down (another smelly, dirty ill maintained vehicle) and there we were 10 people no A/C no water no bathroom with 3 lanes of stopped traffic and no reasonable way for another van to get us. We had to beg for restrooms from stopped RV's and finally hitchhiked to the airport. Not so much as one apology and a *** $20 refund!
This reflects BADLY on Santa Fe and I can't believe the tourism folks are not LIVID with the conditions this company operates under. They also monopolize all modes of transportation as they own the Taxi company and the day before we took 2 rides costing ($50 plus) in 2 separate dirty smelly cabs.
Rudness & arrogance at Sandia Shuttle desk clerk in the Albuquerque, NM airport
Sandia shuttle did not inform me where I was supposed to wait for my return shuttle in the Albuquerque airport (en route to Santa Fe). I waited outside where the shuttle buses come arrive outside, near luggage claim.
A few minutes before the bus was scheduled to arrive, I asked another shuttle driver where Sandia shuttle left from. He informed me I needed to check in at the Sandia Shuttle desk ( I haven't flown in years and was not familiar as to where that was). Once I approached the shuttle driver and told her I needed to take the next shuttle ( I just missed my shuttle) she rudely stated to "wait over there near the ladies room by those chairs). She was very unprofessional and clearly demonstated she was unhappy in her job.
The woman in line ahead of me, had also missed the shuttle, and the shuttle clerk was very rude to her also.
We paid $45 round trip for the only airport shuttle service between ALbuquerque and Santa Fe, and they have the nerve to treat their customers with disrespect. On the shuttle, some of the other passengers were also complaining about the rudeness of the "clerk."
