Very disappointing after-sales service from Samsung

I reported a home appliance issue through the Samsung customer service hotline and received a repair ticket. The staff assured me the request had already been forwarded to the nearest service center and that a technician would contact me shortly.

After waiting for several hours with no update, I contacted the hotline again, only then was I told that the service center was suddenly off-work for today and tomorrow due to unexpected plans.

Google still showed the service center as OPEN.

During the purchase process, Samsung strongly promoted their fast and reliable support service.

It feels like customers are promised excellent support before purchase, but once there is an actual problem, the response becomes slow, inconsistent, and poorly coordinated.

I expect better service and accountability from a global brand like Samsung.

PRODUCT FAILURE

  • - 2021 Samsung fridge; ice maker repaired, but water leaks on floor.
  • - Latest bill is $400; I've spent that much on repairs with no fix; Samsung refused.
SamsungRepair - PRODUCT FAILURE
Updated by user Feb 21, 2026

Samsung refrigerator water and ice dispenser are prone to fail. Samsung will not refund or help in any way with the replacement of that system.

Even if your refrigerator is a faily new four year old refrigerator. Poor service and quality.

Original review Feb 06, 2026
I have a Samsung refrigerator that was manufactured in 2021. The ice machine has been broken and repaired; the water from melting ice on the exterior door is dripping down onto my floor (floor damage will occur).

The latest repair bill is $400.00. I have spent that much already on the previous repairs that have not stopped the water leaking onto the floor. I contacted Samsung and requested they help me with this latest repair bill. They have refused to help me in any way.

These refrigerators have this issue regularly, and Samsung is refusing to acknowledge the issue. I would like Samsung to at least partially reimburse me for all the repairs.

Their equipment is faulty, and they need to acknowledge the issue. Consumers beware of high-end Samsung refrigerators; they do not operate as advertised, and Samsung refuses to acknowledge any responsibility!
Loss:

Pros:
  • Technicians are good
Cons:
  • Failure to admit their product has an issue

Preferred solution: Price reduction

User's recommendation: Beware of Samsung products they do not stand behind them!

Purshased a refrigerator that turned into a lemon.

  • - Defective Samsung fridge was unrepairable.
  • - Delays and cancellations caused food spoilage.
  • - Refund below original price; seeking full reimbursement.
SamsungRepair - Purshased a refrigerator that turned into a lemon.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent Samsung refrigerator purchase and the subsequent refund process.

The original unit was defective and ultimately deemed unrepairable. During the service process, multiple appointments were delayed, cancelled, or rescheduled, which resulted in the loss of all my stored food.

Furthermore, a refund was issued for less than the original purchase price without my agreement.

This refund failed to include compensation for food spoilage, removal costs, or delivery charges, despite the fact that I purchased a replacement Samsung unit.

In total, I am currently at a loss of $1,207.49, excluding additional travel expenses and significant inconvenience.

I request that you review my case and help me get full reimbursement for the remaining balance and associated costs. I look forward to your prompt posting of this matter.

Minisplit under warranty not getting fixed. Been going on for 5+ months. Local repair company tells me they are waiting to hear from Samsung

  • - Minisplit activates intermittently when off.
  • - AireServe-Cloquet hasn't followed up; waiting on Samsung techs; customer plans BBB contact for poor service.
Updated by user Mar 02, 2026

Local repair company called within 3 days of me sending email. Last Fri, the repair company replaced a circuit board on outside unit and was told that Samsung stated to them this was the last fix.

I stated again that my mini split is STILL covered under warranty and that this shouldn't be the last fix. Currently the unit is working so hopefully it is fixed.

It's a wait and see at this point. Over 6 months to get fixed....unbelievable.

Original review Feb 15, 2026

Minisplit goes on intermittently even when turned off. Local HVAC company AireServe-Cloquet, MN has been trying to get answers regarding the fix.

I don't get any follow-up unless I contact them for an update. I keep getting told they are waiting on Samsung techs. If it's under warranty, why not replace it? I will never recommend to anyone AireServe or Samsung minisplit.

The next email is to the BBB. Poor customer service from both companies.

Pros:
  • Worked perfectly until about 6 months ago
Cons:
  • Not fixing or replacing a minisplit that is covered under warranty

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Don't call AireServe for repairs or buy a Samsung minisplit

Very sad that this company has no sense of responsibility for its product or reputation in the market place.

AI Highlights
  • - Samsung fridge marketed with a 10-year warranty.
  • - Water pooled at bottom and the unit reportedly displayed incorrect temperatures; no compensation.

My wife and I finally decided to purchase a new refrigerator not that the old one was broken but to modernize our kitchen so we chose Samsung due to the fact they place a huge marker on the front stating 10year warranty. Once we had this product for a year or so we noticed water accumulating in button of the refrigerator section.

So we kept removing it and finally we called for repair only to find that this was a known and common issue with this model. We sought help from the local and cooperate office and to this date we have received no compensation for our lost of food due to the refrigerator not maintaining temperature it would display a temperature which was much less than appeared. My concern is this if you make a product and present it to consumers you should be responsible. Our old refrigerator is still working in our basement and its got to be 30 years old or more, why do we get the responsibility of testing other manufacturers product.

There should be an automatic recall on items that you know are not meeting there represent purpose in the market place.

Please respond with your honest opinion on this Im welling to do what ever it takes to make myself and others whole again we deserve better. Best regards James Momon 7/18/2025 (216385****) contact me anytime be good!

If you know of a manufacturer that reimburses for spoiled good I’d like to know. I don’t know any. Lowe’s extended warranty will cover up to $300.

Failed to repair defect

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Three repair requests for Samsung DVG55CG7100W.
  • - 5h towels, 3h permanent press; replacement only if diagnosis fails; fourth visit may incur charge.

Over a month, I submitted 3 repair requests for my Samsung Clothes Dryer (model DVG55CG7100W). The technician arrived and performed diagnosis.

He determined that the sensors were working as expected. He instructed me to use time dryer and to turn off ECO. The result was 5 hours to dry towels and 3 hours for permanent press. Clearly, the dryer does not produce sufficient heat to dry the clothes/towels.

Samsung indicated they would charge me for a fourth visit within the 1 year warranty period. What is the purpose of further visits, when the technician will run the same diagnosis and come to the conclusion the dryer works? Samsung refuses to replace the dryer, as long as the diagnosis passes expectations.

The technician said I should be satisfied using Time Drying. Why are there 12 drying functions, if I cannot expect all 12 functions to work?

Neither Samsung nor the Service Technician were concerned with the fact it takes 3 to 5 hours to dry a load. I am extremely dissatisfied with Samsung and their service providers.

User's recommendation: Never purchase a Samsung product

It may be your dryer exhaust. Disconnect the pipe between the dryer and the wall.

Run one load like this and see if it is working correctly. If it does work you have a clog in your exhaust pipe. That is not covered under warranty.

You can buy a cleaning kit from Amazon. Just search 30 Feet Dryer Vent Cleaner Kit.

I already removed the exhaust vent duct, and it was clear. I think there is a clog inside the dryer, beyond my reach.
