Possibley driving people to suicide
- Emails and complaints were ignored; responses didn't address the issue.
- They blocked me on Facebook and offered no helpful referral.
There is an organization in the UK called "Samaritans" they have offices all over the uk and an email address for anyone to contact them for emotional support! My email was ignored, 2x, when I tried to find out why they offered to investigate but then ignored me once I provided my email, as if I did or said something wrong so it was justified, but I have no idea what.
My complaint and feedback were also ignored! They also blocked me from fb, a public forum where I should have every right to speak my mind. Rather than making an effort to address my reasons for being so hurt and angry, they simply blocked me. To be fair, they did respond twice but both times they didn't know who I was, they referred me to another part of Samaritans that I already contacted only to be ignored.
When I asked them why I am being treated this way, they blocked me. Does this sound like an organization that cares and wants to help people? They work with emotionally vulnerable and maybe suicidal people. This cold, dismissive, insensitive behavior is cruel and potentially harmful to already suffering people who may not be able to take much more.
I was not rude, or abusive. If they couldnt help or didnt know what to say they should at least admit that or provide a referral. Ive never felt so judged, its as if they decided that Im so worthless, I just dont matter, so theyre not going to help me or even give me the time of day. I was already feeling like the lowest form of life on earth before I made the horrible mistake of contacting Samaritans.
They didnt have to solve my problems or even answer my question, It would have just helped to know someone was listening. Being rejected and dismissed by a charity supposedly dedicated to helping people is devastating.
Everyone needs to think twice before contacting the so-called Samaritans. They may leave you feeling worse.
User's recommendation: never use them, you could up feeling worse, and never, ever, donate to them
