Well I cant begin to tell you this...

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • SRP reports solar not producing; meters unreadable.
  • Inverter replacement under warranty; install $550 and wiring $300.
  • Delays across departments noted.

Well, I can't begin to tell you this story. SRP sends out a notice that our solar isn't producing power.

So I look at the meters, as there is one for the main and one for the inverter. Both are unreadable, like ink was dropped on the LCD. I call to find the original solar company, no longer in business. I search out to Solar Edge; they don't have any techs in the region.

I call a few locals and find an actual company that is a Solar Edge rep. They send a tech out, test with Solar Edge. $280 to just tell me what's wrong. The inverter went out - it's under warranty!

Awesome, we can install it for $550. Not so awesome. Then there's another charge for a faulty wire that costs $300 more... I had to call SRP to remove the meter for the solar company.

SRP comes out, replaces the main but not the solar. Says there is a short; this was before the tech did work. How is it that the house came with solar, we have been running it for 4 years, and now there's a mysterious short that needs $300 in wire to fix? The solar guy claims everyone isn't listening to him and he's having a hard time.

Um, isn't this what you do for a living? Acting like this is a new issue. So to get my own stuff resolved, I had to go to the city and get what took 30 minutes and send it to him so he could do his job that he was being paid for - THAT HE NEVER SHOWED UP AT OUR HOUSE FOR. Now the city makes him supposedly resubmit plans for the replacement inverter that was the same one previously to get a new permit to submit to SRP.

SRP plays dumb every time he or I call. By the way, 3 departments to get it done. Mind you, the solar app showed that it had been down since 1/6. It's April, and our monthly $180 is now $1000.

Today I see on my home camera that SRP put the meter in. Awesome...I come home; again, no tech was here to manage the job and make sure it was done correctly...I turn it on, and now the entire house AC is down; it will not turn on at all. Meanwhile, all the tech says is I guess you'll have to call SRP... Beyond frustrated and speechless.

I want some heads to roll. Luckily, I have legal service from my work; this may get ugly.

Loss:
$20000
Pros:
  • I dont see any
Cons:
  • Dont assist with solar when there is a need to assist

Preferred solution: If they just blew up my AC - I want my AC replaced 100% or we are going to court, not only for the neglagence of dragging this out for 4 months not being helpful with solar tech and when I called giving me the ignorant response.

Inability to keep their word

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • Outage runs 9PM 18th to 9AM 19th.
  • At 4PM now, notices to customers are unclear.
  • 103F in Arizona; full-day outage risks food waste; reimbursement requested.

Outage that is supposed to last from 9PM on the 18th to 9AM on the 19th, at the time of writing this, it is currently 4PM. SRPs inability to properly inform their customers is irresponsible and causes food waste to accumulate.

It is Arizona, the weather is currently 103. Properly inform your customers so that we may plan ahead, having no power for a whole day is outrageous, offer reimbursement for the food being thrown out.

Loss:
$109
Pros:
  • Electricity
Cons:
  • Cannot finish work at the scheduled time

Preferred solution: Apology

User's recommendation: Cannot work on time

Unauthorized firearm activity on utility powerline access road

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • Target practice on Queen Valley powerline road; fire restrictions apply; state grazing land; cows; post signs prohibiting target practice or hunting.

Each day there are individuals who are accessing the powerline access road in Queen Valley, Arizona, to do target practicing. The individuals are not more than 500 yards from city limits.

Fire restrictions are currently in place, and no firearms are to be discharged. I am concerned for resident safety and the potential for wildfire during this time of fire restrictions.

The land in question is also state grazing land, and I fear for the cows that roam those hills. Can the utility company please post a sign along this road to the effect that target practicing or hunting is prohibited in Queen Valley?
