Last year, Salt River Concrete quoted my plumber and I a firm price of $800 for driveway repair at one of my rental properties. This company was referred to me by the plumber.
After the job was completed, the owner of the company demanded $900 for the repair, saying it was more involved than what he estimated. He also said if I didn't pay him the extra $100, he would take me to court. Although my plumber verified the initial cost of $800 for the job, I went ahead and paid him the $900. I did not want to risk going to court since we didn't have anything in writing.
This company is unscrupulous and dishonest. I told the plumber to never, ever recommend this company to me or anyone else for that matter.
