Verified Reviewer |Disappointing Experience – Unhelpful Staff During Critical Travel Emergency
- - Nov 30: 12h flight delay and 6-day baggage delay at Sahara Las Vegas.
- - I asked for basic help like currency for a taxi, but got no empathy or support.
I had a deeply disappointing experience at Sahara Las Vegas from the moment I landed on 30th November. After a 12-hour flight delay and a 6-day baggage delay, I approached the hotel staff requesting basic help, even something as simple as assistance with currency exchange to pay for a taxi.
Despite explaining my situation in detail and asking politely multiple times, none of the staff showed empathy or offered any support. Being alone in a foreign country with no luggage and no essentials, I expected a hotel of this standard to at least show some basic human courtesy. But the response was cold, dismissive, and indifferent. Not a single person offered help, even after explaining that I had no change, no toiletries, and no clothing after international travel chaos.
I was not asking for charity, just some level of support or guidance. For a property located in one of the world's busiest tourist hubs, this behavior is completely unacceptable. No empathy. No solutions.
Not even a suggestion.
This poor hospitality has left a lasting negative impact on my entire trip. I urge Sahara Las Vegas to take guest empathy seriously, especially when we're visibly distressed and in clear need of basic assistance.
Preferred solution: Full refund

You need to loosen the purse strings if you have such high expectations. Their rates are under $100/ night.
And baggage aside, what was your plan for currency exchange?
How exactly didn’t the hotel provide $350 worth of amenities you paid for? Because you addressed NONE of that.
Did it ever occur to you that maybe they stayed 3 nights and plus tax the total came to $350? Since $350 isn't so much to you how about you take 350 and go burn it in your bougie firepit since you have so much money.
You're a coward.
You only have words when you hide in anonymity. SHUT UP!!!!!
OP stayed and had no issue with the room itself (or did not state). My comment was in reference to what exactly wasn’t provided that they think is included but wasn’t provided to claim that loss.
The lost baggage is not Sahara’s problem. Currency needed exchanged regardless of lost baggage. They are indeed entitled to everything that nightly rate includes. But what wasn’t?
Free clothing? A week’s supply of personal items at no cost? Didn’t currency needed exchanged anyway?
And as far as ANONYMITY, “Jane” doesn’t identify you, nor is that required to be your real first name. So don’t deflect and make assumptions.
