Don't expect to receive an invitation to a focus group every time you are confirmed for one. Things can change last minute amd without communication. Just a little warning.
It was going to be a one-on-one interview. I confirmed the date and time with her, and she confirmed the details with me. She confirmed my phone number and my email. It was all correct.
After that was all said and done, I communicated with my workplace that I needed to take that morning off to take care of this study. No issue there. Where there was an issue was that I never received an email or any communication for the study. When I noticed this, I tried multiple attempts at reaching out to them, via phone calls, leaving voicemails, and sent emails.
I never received any responses. Some sort of communication at all would've been appreciated even if for some reason they didn't want me in the study or if it was too full. I get that and I would have understood. What really made me annoyed is that because I had taken time off work, I lost half a day's salary.
And all because the company didn't send me details on the study or that I was possibly no longer needed or whatever the issue was.
They wasted my time, wasted my day, and lost me half a day's pay. Very inconsiderate of them and pretty rude honestly.

Had an in-person interview on 4/30/2024; significant time investment with travel, parking.
Have not been able to log into the system to receive honorarium. Emailed the company x 4 since then with no response.
