LEMON Vehicle all the way...
I purchased my first Jeep product Sept 4, 2016 Jeep Renegade 4x4 75th Anniversary edition. Not even a year(August 2017) my car left me stranded in the middle of a major highway then in the shop for 3 weeks bc of parts not being available. Numerous issues with dealership where I purchased the vehicle from also losing my lug lock for wheels to not completing my service. Changed dealerships to closer for service then this past May my car begins making horrible noises take car in and told that my car was dangerous to drive bc if the fan broke it could go into my motor; so again no vehicle for numerous days. Not even 2 months later July 3rd 2018 sitting at light my car begins to smoke then I lost all cool air blowing all hot air then of course it’s a holiday and guess what dealership service Dept is closed and it’s 95 plus degrees outside and I have an infant talk about pissed off!!! I’m absolutely done with this vehicle and will be going further to attempt to get satisfaction by contacting the BBB regarding the crap Jeep/Chrysler is producing and also an attorney regarding the LEMON Law in Va. ALL 3 major issues which all had to do with my AC/cooling system!!! ***

HORRIFIC - Lost a customer for LIFE.
I purchased a 2015 Jeep Cherokee (with extended warranty and gap insurance) and over the course of a year’s ownership it the tachometer would jump erratically, it would DIE while i was driving it.. I was losing oil (but not leaking out onto the ground) I was losing1qt of oil ever 3000 miles and was told that was normal in accordance to the NTSB. (What a crock) - despite me telling safford dodge of the issues, i was blown off. The jeep was in service NUMEROUS TIMES for "dying" while i was driving it.. Finally one night, driving home from ARLINGTON VA - the car started shaking violently and I was forced to drive it to fredericksburg. Where finally it was determined that an engine coil blew out my spark plug and affected cylinder #4. I was livid at this point. I was going to pursue the lemon law.. because the had at least 5 chances to fix what was going on in that jeep, instead chrysler stated they'd replace it. While negotiating a trade, Chrysler tried THREE TIMES to get me to pay at least 1000.00 because problems weren't reported until 7000 miles. (Some crap about 50cents a mile up until 7000 miles) Which i was NOT going to do.. FINALLY they did the “substitution of collateral” and all I had to do was pick up another Jeep. NO paperwork needed to be done by me, because Chrysler and the dealership were handling everything. I was told that the extended warranty and gap insurance would transfer to the new jeep. Fast forwarding while driving the newer jeep a 2016.. Same model.. the SAME PROBLEM occurred again..This time, an engine coil blew out my spark plug and affected cylinder #1.. I shook all the way from Lorton, VA to Fredericksburg… While at the dealership, they claimed I had no extended warranty and no gap insurance and that I may have to pay for the problem. (Jeep had 41K miles on it) Safford did indeed go ahead and covered costs for the repair; HOWEVER CHRYSLER had me driving around with NO WARRANTY AND NO GAP INSURANCE FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR.. nobody at Chrysler said ANYTHING …AND because they didn’t transfer the extended warranty I had to hunt down where my money went.. and I finally got it back from MOPAR, BUT till this date- Chrysler STILL HASN’T HONORED my paying of the GAP insurance and have NOT refunded my money for it. In fact, the representative at Chrysler quit returning my calls without explaining where my money went. Chrysler doesn’t CARE about their customers.. I will NEVER own a jeep, Chrysler, DODGE anything EVER again. MANY YEARS ago I bought a dodge Dakota R/T that the fuel injection went out, went through 3 sets of brakes and a set of rotars, the navigation system went out – ALL BEFORE 20K MILES. They had their excuses for that stuff too.. Like this past jeep, I had to just trade out of it to sever my relationship with dodge. I had hoped that time would have improved their processes, but they’re big corporate America and they can do whatever the *** they want too, to their consumers. You don’t matter.. PS There are others I know having the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS with their Jeep..
