I used to be a faithful Safeway shopper, and purchased many of Safeways own name brand products, but the final straw happened this week when I went into Safeway to purchase my Safeway brand THIN sliced bread, and it was completely different!! Sorry I have now made the decision to take all my business elsewhere! I feel Sobeys has ruined Safeway!!!

Today Nov 11 Safeway Supermarket advertised fresh cod. I sent my spouse to get some at the Aspen Store. When he brought the packet into the house I smelt it from the garage door. It was something so bad that I couldn't bear to put in in my cooking ware. So with no...

Safeway is not the store it used to be. When you asked for help they walked you right to the product. I used to smile and say I am sure if you looked tired they would piggy back you there. Today in the checkout I was not greeted never mind making eye contact. Saturday...

Recently I needed some aluminum 9" pie pans and went to Safeway. They use to sell a 6 pack of Handi-foil for $2.69, the best price of all the major grocery stores. Imagine my surprise when I discovered they are are now $4.99/6 pack! And the huge price increase...
