Driver no shows

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - A driver blocked the street, did a U-turn, and left; the health plan apologized.
  • - On June 3: rides no-shows; wait 20–40 minutes.

I was left stranded once by a driver who parked across the street. Saw me standing in front of my house as the ONLY PERSON ON A VERY WIDE OPEN STREET OF SINGLE FAMILY HOMES AND YET HE MADE A UTURN IN FRONT OF ME AND DROVE OFF.

I HAD TO CALL A YELLOW CAB TO GET TO MY APPT!

MY HEALTH PLAN VERIFIED ALL OF MY DETAILS AND SENT ME A WRITTEN APOLOGY.

ON JUNE 3 MY RIDE BOTH WAYS WAS A NO SHOW AND WHEN I CALLED I WAS TOLD TO KEEP WAITING ANOTHER "20, 30, 40" MINUTES.

WHAT A POORLY, STUPIDLY RUN COMPANY! I WOULD RATHER LIFT MY SKIRT AT MY LATE AGE AND HITCH A RIDE ALONG THE FREEWAY AND I COULD GET A RIDE FASTER.

Cons:
  • Incompetent on all scores

Preferred solution: I never want to be assigned to this " company" again.

User's recommendation: Avoid this "service". You would do better with a donkey cart.

Irresponsible and rude

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Driver didn't speak English and had the wrong address.
  • - Saferide wouldn't replace the ride for 48 hours; I paid, and reimbursement was denied.

I ordered an Uber trip through Saferide to get to my dentist appointment. I was outside waiting well before the Uber driver was to arrive.

The Uber driver did not speak English, and when I spoke to them on the phone, they seemed to have been mistaken about the address, because I was outside and they were not there, but they thought they had the correct address. I called Saferide to see about getting a new driver, as my previous one cancelled on me through no fault of my own. The Saferide representative said that they could not send a new ride for 48 hours, so I paid out of pocket to get to my dentist appointment. When I got back, I called Saferide and was told to speak to Humana, my insurance company.

After being on hold for an hour, the Humana representative promised to put me on a three way call with Saferide to sort this out, saying that Saferide never should have sent me to Humana. When I finally spoke to someone at Saferide, they claimed that I wasn't outside for the Uber driver, when I was. It is the Uber driver's error and not mine. The Saferide rep then hung up on me.

I was also told by a different Saferide rep that I should have been given a replacement ride, and that there was a way for someone to override the 48 hour limit I'd previously been given. As a result, I'm being denied reimbursement for their own negligence and disregard for their job duties.

Loss:
$21

Preferred solution: Full refund
