The Worst Management Ever
- - Staff were unprofessional and rude.
- - Very expensive for the service.
- - Elevator shut down without notice.
- - Empty apartments were used for private parties.
I had to deal with Sackman Enterprise for few years because they managed my building: very unprofessional. The employee were unpolite, Communication and organization were horrible, and extremely expensive for the service I received.
They shot down the elevator without notice or less than 24h notice more than once, and just to deal with aesthetic issues.
They never explained the interventions they were going to perform, we just found people working there with not specific reason.
They used the empty apartements for private party and we couldn't sleep.
They never reply to emails, if you are asking for explanations

Horrible Experience w/Sackman Enterprises
- - Bait and switch: they tried to change the agreement.
- - They asked me to wire money to a vacating tenant.
I had the pleasure of interacting with this horrible company last year. A couple things I noticed:
1) Bait and switch, misleading practices: they tried to change the content of our agreement once I traveled to New York City to sign documents, changes which included an impossible request that I wire money to a vacating tenant (ludicrous among other things, but "impossible" because I didn't have the required information to do this, and what's more is they knew that, and refused to allow for any other option);
2) Poor communication: they had poor communication and were rude in the office, misusing terms and legal speak, using pressure tactics, and talking down to me as if I were uninformed about how a real estate contract ought to work;
3) Improper withdraw of funds from direct deposit: they withdrew money from my account, without providing me with access to the apartment, although the lease (which wasn't even signed yet) forbade this expressly - they further refused to provide written confirmation that they intended to return this money to me in a timely manner when I requested that they at least do this, so I had to go through my bank to recover the money incurring processing fees;
4) Untrustworthy business practices: after they improperly withdrew money from my account, various staff members were unapologetic, and they refused to provide me with written confirmation that my money would be returned in a timely manner - this is a bare minimum in my book when you improperly debit money from someone's checking account! I had to go through my bank to recover the money, since I had no faith in Sackman given the experience, and the refusal to provide a simple written confirmation I would get my money back... this took time and money.
Negative five stars... really ought to sue them.
Shady and unprofessional to work for
- - There is never enough money in the accounts to pay contractors.
- - President is unprofessional and raises his voice.
- - His cousin delays payroll for weeks.
They do not pay their contractors and withold payments until they feel ready to pay when it reality there is never enough money in the accounts to pay their contracts.
The president of the company is very unprofessional and tip toes when it comes to paying the contractors; he is very rude and he raises is voice when thngs are not going his way.
His cousin is no better; never pays the workers on his payroll for weeks at a time and puts off paying them because there never is enough in the account to cover the payroll. He too is very unprofessional and rude.

Why would you give them the ability to withdraw money if you didn't have a signed a lease?
They require direct deposit information on the application. I didn't authorize any charge, of course!
Withdrawing money from my account was in violation of the lease agreement. Definitely illegal. Probably criminal. They said it was "automatic" in their system, but...
that doesn't absolve them of guilt. I had my bank stop the transaction right away for a not insubstantial fee, but... what a hassle!
As it goes traveling to NYC and back somewhere is very expensive. Way I see it, even if they didn't get my money, they took me for at least a thousand bucks in expenses and time.
It seems like you signed an ACH authorization form... which stands for Automatic Clearing House..
You sound *** when you complain about things that are very legal.. what do you think a company does that you "subscribe" a monthly service to? like HBO -- they automatically deduct the amount owed for that months service..
learn before you complain -- I am not even in Real Estate and i know this.. what are you, 13?
