Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund. Double billing was reversed.

After booking an accessible room at Sydney Central for 4 nights, I saw an offer: stay one night, get free parking. So, I rang to enquire if I could get parking.
I explained that I was a double amputee and unfortunately dying of cancer, and could you maybe give me some complimentary parking as I saw the offer on their website and I had stayed at Rydges Gold Coast for 3 weeks. I was told to cancel my booking and rebook through the website. I don't know how to do that sort of thing and didn't want to lose my booking. I tried to look for a head office after-hours telephone number but found nothing.
I am very disappointed. How hard is it to just give me some complimentary parking as they are already advertising the offer? It's only parking.
Rydges, I'm not asking for a bottle of the most expensive champagne every night. Again, very disappointed.

Whilst staying at Rydges Southbank Brisbane, and paying $55 to have my car parked in their secure carpark, they forgot to lock my car and items were stolen.
Im now having difficulties dealing with the management and being reimbursed for the stolen items.
It was due to their negligence that this happened in the 1st place.
I will never stay there again and definitely never recommend this motel to anyone.

It sounds like you booked the room through a third party (booking, guest reservations, Expedia etc). If the free parking offer was offered directly through the hotel, so must your booking be.
You don’t get the cheaper third party rate from a non-hotel site AND the free parking through the hotel site. Your medical information and where you stayed prior has no relevance to what they told you to do.

I've no idea why the previous poster has a stick up their backside but anyway, I understand what you are saying. You are afraid by cancelling your booking and rebooking, you will lose out entirely on being able to stay.
This is not the Rydes Hotel website. Isn't there a customer service number you can call to get help?

Your attitude is lousy. Why would you say something like that?
Because it is horrible. If she booked directly with the hotel she would get free parking.
She used a third party and is demanding a non-qualifying extra she is not entitled to. She already is getting the cheaper rate for the room.
In addition her story is padded with personal information that has no bearing on the situation. It is an attempt to guilt the hotel and that is what is horrible.
