Ryan Homes in Sellersville, Pennsylvania - Poor Quality, Bad Customer Service!!

My 4 yr. old home has a finished basement ( BY Ryan Homes) The floor has a huge crack in it and we are smelling dampness throughout the home. I called customer service and they basically told us to hire a contracter to fix it. No help from Ryan Homes at all!!! Never buy a Ryan home if you want quality.

i live in NJ my home was built in 2000.,I am the 2nd owner, the home was sheet'd on the exterior all around with cardboard yes cardboard they stapled it to the 2x4s with a staple gun. and all the homes in nj were built the same.

by Ryan Homes, NVR. This was apparently approved by HUD so they went ahead and built with it. Leaks from behind the windows, siding etc. A nightmare, walls shake with wind storms as well.

even if your home is still covered under warranty they will tell you its approved by HUD.. this is how they got away with it. Government protection!! you basically have to take them to court and show cause that its a structural default.

hopefully a judge will see this. and know even if the government ok's a product to build with doesn't mean its right!!!

P.S. before buying a Ryan/NVR Home have your home inspector pull the siding to make sure the home is sheet'd with ply wood!!!!!

When I bought my home I said I wanted to put my own ingrained pool. Now they are saying that not only do I have room for a pool but the easement stops me from putting in a deck that should be done, my yard is a wreck with a big hole I was told would be filled is not....

My husband and I are from Long Island and we have been looking at the Ryan homes, I'm so glad we stumbled onto these reviews we have decided to stay far away from Ryan homes. Based on all these reviews it looks like you should ALL get together and file some kind of class action/lawsuit against Ryan Homes

We built a Ryan Townhome in Canonsburg approximately 10 years ago. It was a nightmare from the very beginning. Can't adequately explain how many problems we had and all the redos had to be made--paint, cabinets, wooden floors, electrical, plumbing, etc. To their...

The spots on your deck is likely mold. Trex is noted for that.

You have to clean it.

Sounds to me like no one would want to build for you. You should buy a resale next time I hear the customer service is great :)

I'm sorry, did you buy this home? If you did, all the "problems" you having is on you.

Also, I saw you wrote this review on another website and claimed it was for a house in Reading. Well, which is it? If you bought this house and didn't notice the ditch, the thin walls, and the railroad tracks then you're not a very smart person. It's not Ryan Homes' fault that you bought a house and didn't notice the ditch or thin walls.

And also, if you didn't buy this home, why are you reviewing? This doesn't affect you at all.

Cheap materials, unsupervised construction, mistake cover ups, *** service, terrible sub contractors...And that was all in the first 10 months. I do not feel safe in this home. Its all about getting as many homes built as fast as you can at Ryan Homes.. NO matter the consequences. Ryan prays that they get past their "1 year" warranty. The service supervisors are only trained to give "corporate answers" and try to put a bandaid over issues in hopes of getting past their 1 year. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. I will never purchase from Ryan nor will I ever recommend.
