Verified Reviewer | Buford, GeorgiaGot Warranty Work Done, Big Mistake
The sales team seemed good but unfortunately now that I've dealt with their service department I understand why most experienced RVers avoid camping world at all costs. Ended up being sold a trailer with quite a few problems.
At first I requested an appointment for a few minor problems. Had a manager ask me what the issues were and then never heard from them again even after trying to follow up. Eventually has worse issues arise including a water leak in my walls that resulted in black mold in my walls. They took several months to fix my trailer, during this time they were extremely unresponsive unless I could get them physically on the phone.
At every step of the way I was told they couldn't give me an estimate of when they'd be done because it always depended on the next step. At one point I contacted the manufacturer to ask why a fix had not been approved (that I had been told for almost a month camping world was waiting on manufacturer approval) they informed me they had no record of the fix request. When I finally received my trailer back it was returned with two worse leaks that immediately flooded my RV. When I brought it back they told me they aren't responsible for the care of my trailer while it's on their lot so all damage was my responsibility.
To add insult to injury I was informed that they had flushed my black tank to be able to test the plumbing fix, I found out when setting up my RV at the campground that what that really meant was they opened the tank while the sewage line was still capped and then closed it again and when I tried to connect the line I got actual sewage dumped on me. I will now have to take it to court (which several lawyers and my insurance company has advised that I do) to get my money back that I had to pay them for the damage caused by their neglected care of my RV. I will not be returning for any future work on my RV and will purchase new RVs elsewhere.
If you have bought an RV from them and need warranty work please know you DO NOT have to take your RV back to the original dealership. Call your manufacturer and they will give you a list of shops that accept warranty work, and will definitely give you better customer service and take better care of your RV

Total drag on Repair. The have kept my camper for a month for a ten dollar fan
Took my camper out first of April, heat did not work, stove would not work, and fan over stove worked part time. Took it in for service, took almost two weeks to look at it, one and a half weeks to get fan, they put it on, extremely loud, but you turn fan on in bathroom it turns stove fan off.
Now I have an inverter problem, item sent to warranty an probably another month. I only get service on high priced campers. I made the mistake of buying my first camper here, and I will not buy another.
I hope this helps other go elsewhere to shop. My brother bought at Maxi Price and has never had a problem.More *** at agreement
Run Away from this dealership
Zero stars is appropriate here. These guys are quick to sell you a high priced RV, but pray you never need service.
In February 2018, I bought a new 2018 Heartland Cyclone 5th Wheel Toy Hauler. Upon walkthrough at purchase, we identified at least 10 items that needed to be addressed. We were told to take it home, do a complete look over, and bring it back for service. Well the list grew to 20 plus items (not RV Worlds fault...that's a Heartland issue and a complaint for another forum).
BUT, we brought it back in and our camper sat for 2 months with maybe 1/3 of those items being addressed. We had a trip planned, picked it up, went on the trip and brought it back again to finish the punch list. This took another two months (still not all was corrected). We picked it up again for a trip and this time there was damage to 3 areas of the camper where they banged it around on their parking / storage lot (AND admitted it).
(Bent the ladder, scraped the side paint job and damaged a window, and rammed the front corner).
We patiently agreed to go on one more summer trip and then bring it back in for them to finish off the original punch list and fix the damage that they did themselves. It's been sitting on their lot since then. From August to October, waiting for them to fix damage that THEY did to my trailer while in their possession. We have owned this thing for 8 months and it has been on their lot waiting on service for 5-6 of those months.
AND, half of that time waiting for items they themselves damaged to be fixed. You would think that they would make me a priority since the damaged my property.
Our service guy is nice, but they don't have the personnel to handle the volume of service they have (reason why our camper was banged around in their parking lot by one of their inexperienced employees). I escalated things to the Service Manager who called and said he would get on it, but it's been two weeks and I've not heard back from him. I've tried to be patient, but I would never buy another RV / Camper from these guys.
It's the worst service experience I have ever had in my life. AND don't buy anything from Heartland either. They send their product to the dealer 80% manufactured.
On a brand new 5th wheel, we have already had issues with slides leaking fluid, leveler malfunctions, hot water heater not working, black and grey water valves mislabelled, water leaks at several windows, and that's just a few of the issues. It looks pretty, but quality is terrible.

Mafia of RV World
I have a problem with my new motorhome, that is new. I purchased it on 5/26/2018 from RV World of GA.
at 2289 East Rock Quarry Rd. Buford Ga. It had 795 miles on it when purchased. It now has 926 miles on it.
The only driving has been from RV World to our home and back to RV World. The table and fan switch were broken, supposedly by a couple of kids. The sales person told us they needed to put a paint protection on before we could pick it up, that we paid extra for (I don’t think was done because of rust on the bumper) and the table and fan switch was on order and hopefully it would get fixed then. We picked it up on 5/30/2018 and was told the table and fan switch had not come in.
They told us to take it home, look it over for any manufacturer problems, make a list and bring it back for repairs. Understand because we are in our seventies we did not get on top of the RV nor did we crawl underneath it, we had not even checked the plumbing to see if it works ok. We have not had the RV long even to do this. We took it back to RV World on 6/23/2018 with a list of 13 problems and one big problem, there was a bad leak from the overhead, lots of water in several places throughout.
(We would have returned it sooner but since I don’t drive we had to wait for a family member to be available to come pick us up at RV World). We met with a service person upon arrival and they went out to the RV did a walk around and he made a list of their own and said to give them a week and if we hadn’t heard from them call. We called on 7/5/2018 and they hadn’t even pulled it in to look at the problems so the request for warranty work had not even been sent. After numerous calls to them and to Thor Manufacturing we discovered, after being told several times everything was on order, no requests for warranty work was sent until 7/24/2018 now we had to wait for parts to be ordered and sent from the factory.
While they waited for parts the ran a pressure test on the RV to find the leaks and they found five. They received parts on 8/4/2018, did the work and we were able to pick it up on 8/25/2018. When we arrived and were getting ready to leave we found the Radio and backup camera would not function, so we had to go home without the RV. Received a call on 8/27/2018 saying the RV was ready.
We picked it up on 8/28/2018. We got it home and when it rained on 8/30/2018 we discovered another leak. On 8/31/2018 we did another inspection taking pictures and compared repairs to workorders from RV World and showed discrepancies on pictures and *** in the roof on the driver’s side and 3 stress fractures around the running light. We sent pictures to RV World.
We returned the RV to them on 9/4/2018.
We went out to the RV, so they could make a list again, showed him the hole and at that time he said he knew what had happened, he threw the accusation out there, not saying who did it, that a limb had hit it and made the hole. We asked him was there green marks or scratches around the hole (we knew there weren’t as we had the pictures). Then he asked us if we bought it new? (know the answer to that also since they sold it to us).
We also found out that the RV was missing an awning cover for the slide out. We didn’t know it was should have had one, was always missing. Then he asked how many trips we had taken using the RV. We laughed and told him we had made three payments on it and RV World has had it in their possession over 70 days of the approximately 99 days we’ve had it and that they should be making the payments.
We hadn’t even had it long enough to fill the water system because RV was leaking and to be perfectly honest we’re not even sure it’s mechanically sound as we have only put 131 miles on it going back and forth to RV World. We may be old, but we are not stupid. We can see they are going to try to blame the damage on us, but my wife told him he would be hard pressed trying to blame that damage on her as she has no record of any accident, ever!
At this point we have no idea when we will get it back and under the circumstances whether we want it as we are afraid it has mold and mildew throughout. We plan on having an infrared camera check it out when we get it back.
Request all records
I requested the test and repair records for my RV. All I got was copies of work orders.
The work orders do not tell me any details as to what was done to correct problems.I sent a certified letter to Kevin Johns and then an E-mail. I want to know what testing was done, what parts were replaced . When parts were ordered and received and when request for warranty work was requested and permission was given.
I have had the RV since May 23, 2018. The only trip taken was to RV World three times.
Allthe miles on it are from my home to RV world. I have not been any where in it.
The repair on the roof likes like a patchwork quilt. I am talking about a new RV.

Stay away from RV World of Georgia
We bought our RV from RV world of Georgia. After we bought the RV we have had many issues and we are full time RV'rs.
RV world of Georgia doesn't care they can't check tire pressure in 10 days! They also wanted to charge us to check our tire pressure. They couldn't check the pressure because they had to *** a hubcap and wouldn't do it! We ended up in Michigan and had it fixed by a tire dealer in holland, Michigan for $10!
It was a factory defect with the tire on our Mercedes, Isata 3. Yet RV world of Georgia couldn't even check the air and we had to drive 10 hours to Michigan to get the tire fixed. Sad thing is RV world has done this before with us. A month after we bought our brand new RV our black tank valve broke.
Because it was installed wrong. RV world of Georgia ordered the part and didn't have time to fix it. And tried to make us oh for the let and "take it with us" and have it fixed someplace else. The PDT was $50.
The maintenance department called a supervisor and they said we couldn't have the pet that was defective but had to buy it!
We left and drove to the factory in Elkhart, Indiana and they fixed it. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I purchased a RV at RV World of Ga. in Buford In May,2018.
It has been in the shop over 100days .We have not used it once in that time. I was told the sams as you. Bring it home look it over for problems. We took it back in a few days. The worst problem was a roof leak.
They made such a mess with chaulking he roof, that it looked s if a child did it. I am trying to work with the cosummer protective under the Lemon Law. I also have other plans. I will fight this with my last breathe.
I am 75 years old and won' be treated this way.
I spent 24 years in the military for this country, so people would not be treated like this. We need tojoin together to stop company like this.
