CAMPER WAS DELIVERED IN POOR CONDITION....

I have never in my life written a negative review on any business for any reason. But my recent experience with RV Max has been the most disappointing sales experience I think I have ever had so I m sharing it on line. I had been in contact with the dealership a number of times working out the details to purchase a brand new 16' Shasta Airflyte Reissue. I made an appointment to take deliver of the trailer at 3:00 on a Saturday. That was their latest appt and I was told it would take 2 hours to complete the paperwork and the walk through of the trailer. I drove nearly 1,000 miles and 14 hours from Arizona to pick it up. I arrived 10 minutes early. I met with the gentleman that was supposed to be able to give me the orientation on the trailer only to find out that he really knew very little about it and I was told the guy that usually does these was unavailable. I had never purchased a camper before and while he was well intended...I had received more information about the trailer from a YOUTUBE video I had watched earlier. During the orientation, I noticed a one inch dent and scratch all the way down to the bare metal in the front center of the trailer. When I asked "what is that" he said oh...let me take a picture of that. I also pointed out numerous scratches where paint was missing off the front. (which he also took pictures of with his phone). Then upon inspecting the inside I discovered there was a large bubble in the flooring directly in front of the kitchen sink (heavy traffic area). When I asked about that he looked at it and said "looks like there is some kind of debris under the floor" He then took a picture of it. There were also what appeared to be "parts" off the door etc that were laying on top of the counter in side that obviously had not been put on. When I told him I was unhappy with the condition of the trailer, we went in the office where they started looking for another trailer this size and color on one of their other lots in town. They told me they found one at their other dealership (an hour away in Sherman) and that I could go look at it. However, all of their service techs had gone home...they are closed on Sunday and I would not be able to take delivery of it until Monday afternoon. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I went and looked at it and sure enough the one I drove an hour to see was also scratched in the back. The salesman there (Brian) was very nice and truly apologetic. He was able to find another trailer on the lot that was in good condition. He told me that I could not pick it up until Monday afternoon. So....I drove over 2,000 miles round trip..spent money on gas, lodging and food and now you're telling me that I have to stay in Texas for 2 more nights. I finally had a chance to speak with a manager who GENEROUSLY offered me $200 to pay for my extra 2 night stay. I had to get back to AZ and my job. When the manager asked me what I would like him to do exactly I told him that if I accepted the other trailer...they should have it delivered to me. The cost would be about $1500. He told me that was impossible as there was not enough room in those trailers as it is to spend the extra money. REALLY? What about the money and time that I spent. Nobody was very concerned about that. THIS WAS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. As it turns out...I did not purchase the Shasta and went home disappointed, frustrated and very angry. Buyer Beware of this company.

I do not know what you arey talking about! RV-MAX is the BEST!!

My wife and I purchased a 16' Airfyte and yes it had a few manufacture defects BUT they took care of it through Forest River warranty! Even washed my RV for free!! Forest River builds the RVs not the dealer!

Service department and sales staff were very Customer Service friendly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
