Issues relating to crowns

One of my porcelain crowns came off a few years ago and they refused to recement it back on. I begged and cried real tears and was told I needed to redo the root canal and get a new crown for $1400 or I could have it pulled. I just saw the head dentist last week who said "there is enough tooth structure left to put the crown back on if it fits" Unfortunately enough time has passed my teeth have shifted and the crown no longer fits

I had all my teeth pulled at the Russell Street so I could get new dentures but I couldn't afford there dentures so I went to affordable dentures.. Well after a year of fittings and slitting a lot of bone and having to go back a couple of times because of big bone or stitches always something well there was a small hole in the roof of my mouth that wouldn't heal so I went back and was told there was no.hole and I'm like bullshite so when the dentist took a mirror to show me oh behold he saw the hole....well after 2 hours of prodding pictures xrays they said they would get back to me.....Right so went back and asked what's up??? Well we have to find a dentist or some off the wall excuse....well in the mean time I'm just getting to the endof my new dentures.... Well finally I went to the OHSU school well they found a good size top of my canine tooth embedded in the roof of my mouth the hole was a drainage hole yeah more surgery my teeth should of been done a year ago but know so now because the surgery to removed the top of the tooth change my mouth my new teeth need another reline but my time was up and they want 200 dollars after 1,000.00 I think he should have to pay... If you need something simple done there fine anything eles beware....

Rude, Unpleasant, Hostile, Unprofessional,

Due to my coverage i was referred to russell street an could only be seen as walk in so as i tried to check was told in a rude way to hold on why she took a call then greeted a regular an checked him after that she began talking to me without giving me her full attention cause she continued to have a conversation with other receptionist once checked in i sat in the lobby from 8am till well after 2 something PM they acted as if i wasn't in pain i had cracked back tooth couldn't chew on that side the pain was out of this world i was refused pain meds until i came back 2day later everything about that visit was unprofessional i wouldn't recommend anyone got there but as for me im *** out of luck an have to at this point an sad to say will be there Monday morning so you'll hear from me again till then wish me luck....

my husband had the same problems, he is on methadone daily and once they found this out they acted like they didn't believe him about his pain. They pulled out a Andras tooth and he was screaming the whole time, and I have never seen him act like that.

Your situation sounds really terrible! The clinic does suck; they aren't set up properly where information about the process is given in a fluid manner, so people in the best of health are confused, let alone those who are in pain.

They have a sign in sheet, which you don't see unless you walk up to the window and just HAPPEN to spot it. Usually, if a person walks to the window, they're scanning for a person to talk to, not reading clipboards left out on the desk. There needs to be a better way of conveying that information to weary patients. Also, I've encountered that same situation where others were checked in before me. It took several instances of this to finally come to the conclusion that these were paying patients who were there for other dental work, not emergency based patients. It also took me trying to make an actual appointment to realize that I was NOT considered an established patient. For that luxury, I was made to fill out an application and wait for its processing to be approved to their discount clinic.

The manner in which this clinic handles their patients is confusing... you pretty much get to figure it out for yourself..

Russell Street Dental seems to practice fraudulent billing

My situation has not been corrected to date despite multiple calls to various folks who claim to be in charge. Very frustrating.

As far as competence and skill, the dentist is okay. And ONE of the front desk folks was okay. The other front desk staff and later relief person did not care. And the billing staff was a nightmare! She was very rude, and even had me pay the total cost upfront. Lucky I had some means to pay after all the waiting. But after treatment, these same billing staff kept sending me more phantom bills even though it was all already paid upfront. She was rude whenever I called, and even hung up on me a couple times but claimed it was accidental. I have to admit I was mad but I didn't yell or use any profanity. Instead of correcting her error, she flexed a muscle and threatened collection to mess me up and scare more money out of me when the service was already paid for right at the start. To cover her butt, the billing staff created a new invoice that increased the originally quoted price, and then deducted what I paid in order to show a balance still owing. I have the original price quote and the receipt for full payment and so I am considering what my options may be next. But what a scam! DO NOT GO THERE, AND BE SURE TO SECURE YOUR WALLET AS YOU PASS BY. Portland has too many better options.
