RENTER BEWARE....

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
stayed here because relatives hosting family reunion live nearby and many extended family members staying at this campground. upon arrival had been assigned cabin 11. WHAT A DUMP!! decor is straight out of 1970s and appears not to have been cleaned since then either!! had wasps inside, spiders in "futon bed" spiders in loft mattress, various bugs in bedroom. the "futon" was so worn out could not even sit on it without it going thru the metal frame, much less put someone on to sleep (we ended up making trip into rapid city to purchase air mattress). metal springs were poking thru sides. the loft bedroom was merely a mattress thrown on floor. the mattress in bedroom was from at least 30 years ago. refrigerator wasnt cooling properly. when brought conditions to attention of management he said these are rustic cabins and we back up to national forest. well news flash, rustic decor does not need to be filthy and bug ridden!!! they turned up frig all way up and it cooled down to 40 degrees, anyone knows anything about food safety, 40 is the beginning of danger zone to keep foods in. needless to say we kept our drinks in cooler with ice which was colder, and our food in a relatives cabin that was also there but in a much nicer updated cabin (which they were charging the same amount for! ) window above front door was duct taped, fake wood flooring was falling apart, flooring in bedroom uneven, had we not been there for family reunion we would have left moments after arriving. DO NOT RENT CABIN 11!!!! cabin 16 which you will pay same amount for is up to date with appliances, furnishings, etc, appeared clean, did not see bugs crawling around in it. we also bought bug bombs and set off and wasp spray just to be able to stay there as there were no other rooms available in vicinity.

Rush no more campground Sturgis SD

Stayed the first 2 nights of the Sturgis motorcycle rally Arrived after dark to tent. After we paid the tenting fee we were told to " just go up the hill". There were no light, and the hill was steep. Very few spots to tent. as you went up the hill it got steeper and steeper. There was no place to stop the bike, it was pitch black and no one from the campground would show us were to go. Food- 1 cup of coffee $3 , eggs, $5, hash brown $2, etc. If it rained the place would be a total nightmare .No place for tenting.

Rush No More Campground Charged for accomodations never used

Rush No More Campground east of Sturgis, South Dakota charged us for accommodations that were never used. We were uncertain as to whether we would be able to camp or not. We explained this and was give a specific "cancel by" date. We did end up canceling our reservation one day before the "cancel by" date and was still charged for the full reservation time. After talking to the management we were only partially refunded. We learned this campground charges for pool access, bedding if you rent a cabin and for anything else they can think of. Advice: Go to No Name Campground instead.

We just came back from Rush No More and originally we were only going to stay for two nights and then move to another campground. However, we had such a great time that we extended out time to Rush No More for the entire week.

The staff was great. They were all very helpful in helping us, giving tourism tips, and always a smile on their faces. The water is very hot in the showers which is a definite plus, and great food too.

I've already made a reservation for next year for my family as has a few other people that we met while we were there. :zzz

Have stayed here 2 times with old and new owners... Never had a bad exsperience.

They went out of thier way to help a overworked nurse. We arrived after dark and they were very helpful in getting us backed in and hooked up.

I had been working long hours and needed to destress and the spa sites are soo worth the extra money.

Just made a reservation for the up coming weekend and am so looking forward to it.

I am the new owner of Rush No More RV Resort as of the 2011 season. I will not comment on previous complaints, managers, or owners because I wasn't here.

But I will say that I nor my staff will disrespect any customer. Our return policies are clearly stated on our website. We do not charge campers to use our services such as the pool or hot tub. We will strive to make your stay the best one you can have in the Black Hills and I invite you to give us a try.

I am managing the campground myself so if there is ever any problem, I will deal with it.

Thank you to everyone. Ed

2011: New owner! Just had a great stay in beautiful cabin.

Pool/Hot tub were great.

Good location for Badlands/Rushmore/Custer/Black Hills. Grounds well cared for.

I could say the following: I probably shouldn't reply to this, but I can vouch first hand unfortunately. After helping them make a huge profit from another business which makes it more of a slap in the face.

Thank you to the both of them for teaching us to remember to look out for ourselves first and foremost.

We could say we wasted nearly a decade employed with them, or we could say thank you for the opportunity to learn and grow as people, and that is something they cannot ever remove from us. God bless....

Rush no more maybe owners ron and michelle are a couple of crooks who steel from there managers and give them hours to leave after working for them for years they steal money from people and do not pay there bills..
