AI Highlights
  • - Charged $600 for ambulance 1/2 mile away.
  • - There should be a distance-based sliding scale, and my wife wasn't taken to hospital.

That we were charged 600.00 dollars for a ambulance to come to us, that was only 1/2 mile away. This is a flat fee for any response, mainly due to this is an unincorporated area.

There should be a sliding scale of cost depending on how far away the call is for them to cover, in my opinion! Also, my wife wasn't actually taken to the hospital.

User's recommendation: The cost of rural metro is outrageous for an ambulance call! Buy a year worth of coverage for 560 something per year, this is for as many times as needed at year
