When I purchase The Rug Doctor Shampoo I did not receive an email payment receipt thank you
- - Rented a shampooer.
- - I did not receive the email with proof of payment.
- - Please resend the payment bill to my email.
I had rented a shampooer very well, but I did not receive my email so that I can show proof of payment of my card. Thank you.
If you can resend me the payment bill through my email, please. Thank you; I would appreciate it.
- Just send me my picture receipt in my email
- Just send me my receipt to my email
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: I really enjoy the machine
Area rug has wrinkles after cleaning
- - Waves appeared in rug after cleaning; staff explained why to flatten.
- - Drying guidance missing; vacuum-only passes after spraying advised.
I rented a machine to clean an area rug and when I was done, the rug had several waves in it. The person I spoke with was very helpful explaining why this occurs and offered several methods to flatten out the waves.
The rug eventually relaxed and is flat again.
My only critique is that the instructions on the machine offer only basic usage but do not explain techniques for proper drying.
Specifically, after using the cleaning spray you should go over using only the vacuum function (no spray) several times to thoroughly dry the rug.
Also, the rental location offered no guidance on usage.
The agent also offered assistance with other concerns I had not related to Rug Doctor. It was a pleasure to speak with someone knowledgeable!
User's recommendation: I would recommend researching YouTube videos before renting the machine so you are better prepared to use it.

Verified ReviewerResolved: Machine that i own
- - Bought a $600 rug cleaner; used once, second use it won't spray.
- - Item sent to warehouse; no local repair; turnaround estimated at 4-6 weeks.
This morning (2/17) I began going over my machine once again to try to figure out why it wasn't working after it had just been returned from the repair warehouse. I located a tube on the back of the machine that was disconnected, possibly for transit, and after re-connecting that tube the machine worked as it is supposed to.
Liquid is spraying out from under the machine as needed.
I must completely take back my review from yesterday (2/16), that was my mistake. I'm happy to say my machine has been taken care of.
On Feb.15 I received my machine back from the warehouse at the Corporate offices for Rug Doctor. Early on Feb.16 I moved furniture in my living room so that I could begin cleaning my carpet.
I was livid and furious to learn that my machine had NOT been repaired and still would not spray liquid onto my carpet. I contacted customer support at (877) 380-**** and when I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager I was finally told that the representative would have someone call be back right after our call ended. This did not happen and after calling the same number I was told there was no supervisor or manager available all weekend and that I should contact Corporate headquarters on Monday. My solution to resolve this matter: Either refund my original purchase price plus tax or send me a new machine (I would prefer to get the Wide Track model).
I will send my machine back in case someone can fix it or they can throw it away or whatever. I do not want this machine "repaired" and returned to me again.I will update this when Rug Doctor has completed resolving this problem.
After using my $600 machine once I don't feel that I should have had reason to contact Customer Service. Once I contacted them I was told my machine would not be fixed and returned to me in 4 to 6 weeks. After I complained about the time issue I was told it would be 2 to 4 weeks before my machine was fixed and returned to me.
Found that the repair tech in my area was no longer in business so had to ship it to the main warehouse. Took excess time to receive shipping label so there was a delay getting it shipped. It arrived at the warehouse on Jan 20, 2025. (This all began before Christmas) Jan.
31 i called the warehouse to find the turnaround time for my machine and was originally told 4 weeks minimum before I would get my machine back. After some arguing I was told maybe it would be 2 weeks. I was to receive an email with that information. On 02/05 I called Customer Service again and was told an email would be sent to the warehouse to get more information.
I called phone number for Rug Dr.Headquartersand was told there was no local repair service and that it was estimated it would be 4-6 weeks turnaround. Seems a bit rough for a $600 machine. I spot treated my carpet prior to learning my machine wouldn't work so I'm living with a disgusting mess on my carpet.
I'm angry and frustrated. I feel like they have me over a barrel.
Preferred solution: New machine,
User's recommendation: DON'T SPEND $600 for a machine that works once then won't work unless you don't mind wait a couple months to get it fixed and returned
Questions about solutions amount
- - Size info for rug shampoo was unavailable in-store.
- - I bought the larger bottle; the smaller would have sufficed, and I feel frustrated.
I was trying to decide what size bottle of rug shampoo I needed for my several rooms. The bottle didn't say; the clerk didn't know; I couldn't find this info on a quick search on my phone at the store; I tried contacting Rug Doctor and couldn't get through.
I bought the bigger bottle; the smaller bottle would have been enough.
Now I have to store a big bottle for several years until I shampoo again. Not pissed but frustrated.
User's recommendation: None. It's a crap shoot.
Rental not working
I rented two Rug Doctors that didn't work. The first had no water, the second's brush wasn't spinning. Since 8 yesterday, the carpet still hasn't been cleaned.
- Good when they work
- Too many problems
Preferred solution: Full refund
X3 won't spray carpet
Water and shampoo sprayed into carpet but machine did not suction up the water in the carpet. Tried 2 different machines and same results.
Returned 2 units within 30 mins of each other. Each had a problem
- - Had to return 2 units before a third worked.
- - The supervisor said refunds are possible for non-working equipment.
Poor outcome. Had to return 2 units before I got a 3rd that worked.
All I was offered was a refund for my inconvenience. I feel I deserve a free rental.
Supervisor told me they can issue you a refund for non-working equipment. BS
