Doors in the sun light in Arizona warp and won't seal so ice does not last..FYI. I probably won't buy anymore. Don't know why they do that. Just thought you ought to know. If you want pictures, let me
The doors on Arctic ice chests in the back of pickup trucks in southern Arizona in the summer warp and will not flatten, and they don't keep ice very long.
- Works very well before the warping
- Waste ice
Preferred solution: Nothing. Would like to see it fixed so I could buy them.
User's recommendation: Don't let it in the direct hot sun
Glue completely came off lid to soft cooler. I was fishing and trying to keep drinks cold when I noticed cooler was basically open. All the flow on seams was gone even with drinks and ice inside
I was fishing at Colorado river. It was pretty warm that day, I had drinks and ice inside cooler but the glue seaming the lid together was gone. So it was basically a a bucket.
User's recommendation: To really check the seams of a soft cooler. The customer service told me to try this 3m glue. Hope they use this now
Failure of the product
- Ice melts quickly.
- Water trapped between layers makes it unusable.
- Heavy and costly, not meeting expectations.
I initially loved the RTIC backpack cooler, but I'm extremely disappointed after comparing it to my other coolers. The ice melts much quicker than expected, and the cooler sweats both on the outside and internally between the layers.
There's so much water trapped between the layers that it has become unusable.
Now, it's heavy, dysfunctional, and a waste of money. I expected better quality from RTIC, but this cooler doesn't live up to its promises.
User's recommendation: Avoid this and consider an alternate brand
