Unhappy with3 years old Rheem Prestige' furnace and A C

Installed November 2014. Early Last summer I was told by a technician the unit had a 'cracked" evaporator coil, and he added Freon. Told only 1 year warranty on Part. Did not replace. I t was fine for the rest of the summer, without replacement. I recently found water in the filter area when I was changing the filter. I toweled it dry. Today I had a home energy audit and the technician opened the top of the front of the heater. There is water pooled there beneath a 'pipe' on the right side of the top part of the heater. No water has shown below that shelf in the bottom opening. Where is the condensation coming from and why is there water pooling inside of my 3 year old furnace. Is it the air intake or the exhaust? The old one was a Lennox downflow, G16RQ4-100-7. I should have done more research on the brand, but when faced with what I was told was "a cracked heat ex-changer" and no heat, I trusted the dealer/repair company to install a decent unit.
