Concrete man without supplies
- - Avilan charged 540.00 for paint removal.
- - Sand/Gold/Carmel out; Walnut, Mahogany, Chocolate Brown; too dark; Narin 840; total 1,200; lien.
I was asked what I want for Royal Polish systems to do at this point. I want the company to apologize for price gouging and they need to drop the unethical mechanics lien.
It was unwarranted since Andrew told me that I owe 200.00 and then the next day his pardoner/co-owner Narin threatened me that If I did not pay an additional 860.00, he was going to put a lien on my home. This is not fair that this company can do this type of business practice.
I gave Andrew Avilan with Royal Polish Systems 540.00 which was 25% of the bid to remove old paint and stain and seal. Andrew gave me a Ameripolish brochure with 14 color stain options.
After he removed the old paint, he wanted my stain selections. When I gave him my color choices, he stated that he was out of Sand, gold & carmel. So he brought over Walnut, Mahogany and chocolate brown. All of them were way too dark and not my choice.
I had to stop the process. Andrew asked for another 200.00 to stop the project and when I was going to pay the next day, his co-owner Narin, sent an email requesting 840.00 which would have made the total cost to remove paint 1,200 for a porch that was only 227 square feet. I explained to Narin that Andrew wanted 200.00. But he threatened me with a mechanics lien.
This is a company who extorts money. Very unethical
Preferred solution: The amount I paid was 540.00 and they should not be asking for more since the rest of the work was not done because they were out of stock of the colors that I requested. They did not do the staining or sealant
