Royal court construction of jacksonville Fl read first

I hired Paul workman / Royal court construction to do some construction on one of my buildings that was confirmed in Jacksonville Florida. I first found him online through the Home Depot website and trusted that he knew what he was doing.

I also hired him at the same time to fix the back of the building by correcting the header and other aspects of the building to make it safe so we could enter it. Royal court construction was supposed to obtain a building permit from the city of Jacksonville and never got one for my project. upon hiring him he seemed to take a tremendous amount of time also gave many excuses why the work was not done in a timely fashion. upon inspecting his work it looked very shoddy and shabby to say the least.Paul kept insisting that he was not finished yet and to wait till he was done to judge it.as time drug Don I started to get very worried so I call another contractor and to look at his work and they told me that it was totally wrong as I initially thought.

I called another contractor in to get his opinion and he said the same thing. both contractors thought that I should tear down the deck that he built and start from scratch there was really no saving it because screws were were nails were supposed to be the steers run correctly bill so on and so forth in addition to the windows that he cut out and the headers we're not even properly built also there were no concrete in the peers supporting the deck. I notify Mr. workman about these issues and tried to settle with him reasonably to avoid court however he went on and on and on and would not be reasonable.

Due to Mr. workman not obtaining the proper city documents the job was red tagged which forced me to have to try to rectify the situation. I was forced to sue him in small claims court and the Devaul county court . I obtained a judgment and called him and told him that he needs to pay and he refused to pay and thought that he could take me to the appellate court to appeal the decision.

once again I want that court. as of July 24 I have yet to receive payment from Mr. workman/royal court construction.

he is now trying to take the small claims case to the Florida Supreme Court. my personal opinion I would be leery of hiring him at all Enclosed is the case numbers of the Duval county court and you can look them up for yourself 2016/sc-3268 small claims 21016-ap-106 appellate court
