This incident happened in mid July 2021 where representative from this company called to report that the tickets to a major airline company, name not revealed for identity purpose, has canceled the tickets and it was presumed that the call was made from the airline company and reservation confirmation number, last name and date of birth was given. The representative from this company reported that you take it has been canceled.

Since we were on line and could see the ticket so he was confronted and representative told us to refresh the page. Since with the information at hand he was able to go to major airline carrier website and canceled the ticket and when I refreshed the page take it was gone. Then he reported the reason for the Cancellation was one of the sector in the flight was not in service and therefore major airline had to cancel this ticket which in fact was canceled by him. We panicked and he took advantage of our anxiety as the travel date was in 3 days.

He assured us to get a new booking but asked us to pay extra $700 and when he was confronted that we were able to see the ticket on the website for Major airline as mixed cabin, he misinformed as that mixed cabins are not the ones which could be issued online. Thinking that he was a airline customer representative, he was able to get credit card information and forced us to send a copy of identification.

He tried to charge credit card and we are worried about the identification copy which could very well be used to smear the personal information

I would therefore request to take harsh measures including criminal proceedings so that fellow Americans can no more be cheated.

There were a lot of information regarding the company's existence, online presence and even the names of the representative were found to be fake during online investigation.

If harsh measures are not taken, such companies would be able to spread their tentacles and loot others.
