The dealership SUCKS
They are very rude after you buy your car I wil never buy a car from these animals again
Multiple car purchases
My wife purchased her car from Nissan 3 years ago working with the dealer Carlos because I felt she needed something safe and reliable. Her credit wasn't too good according the banking history but he (Carlos) found a way to help her get a car because she needed a reliable vehicle to do her job.
Recently my wife and I had been talking about getting the vehicle she needs. What she had was good but now as life goes on things change. Now we need something else. I want to get one and she needs one to suit her needs.
She did not want to go anywhere else but to Nissan and talk to Carlos. I personally didn't care where we went so went with her again to see Carlos to get this car I want knowing my credit wasn't good. Looking for a good used vehicle Carlos pointed one out exactly what I needed. A used SUV in excellent condition in the payment range I can afford.
Then 3 days later with Carlos again my wife go the vehicle she needed trading in her 2013 for a 2017 with payments in the range she's comfortable with. Nissan has been good to my wife and I thus far and I have no complaints.
Internet appointment is NOT VALID
I made my online appointment with Route22Nissan for my 10K maintenance for my NV200 VAN. When I arrived to the facility, a guy asked me the regular questions of what kind of service I wanted.
I showed him my online printed scheduled appointment with all the details about the requested service. He told me to go into the waiting room and take some coffee. After 1:30 Hrs of waiting in the room, nobody was calling me, so I approached one of the guys in an small office. He told: "We have been looking for you, you never left a contact phone, what kind of service to do on your VAN and so on".
I told him that I explained that to the guy who took my keys; moreover, I had scheduled a 7:40 AM online appointment with all the details for the maintenance. He told me that "what I did online, is not valid. I had to approach to the office and explain one of the guys what kind of service I want. I replied him that I did that with the boy who took my keys, and I have my printed copied of the appointment that explains all of this.
He repeated me again that The online appointment IS NOT VALID, not even a phone appointment. You have to come here and do it by yourself. I have received 3 messages from Route22Nissan in my cellphone reminding me for my appointment and I have some emails also. What is purpose of having a online chat, email, phone and self-appointment if that is NOT VALID?
In conclusion, I took my car to Toyota, they did it fast, cheaper and people are more professional. NEVER EVER GO TO Rout22Nissan and I will never go, even if they give me a new car.
Paying for two cars!!!
I purchased a new car from this dealer Jan 2016. I traded in my car as a down payment.
Nissan agreed to pay off the balance I owed on my trade-in. February 2016 the bank sent a past due notice because payment was never made. I called Nissan 22 and spoke to the guys who sold me the car, Mainer and Giovanni (aka Gio). After being put on hold for over 10 mins and tranferred back and forth, I was told to call back the next day.
Called back the next day ~ same thing: on hold, transferred, only this time I was told the check was sent give it a few days. The bank called again about payment and threatened to report past due payment. I explained that I sold the car, and no longer have possession ~ they didn't care. I ended up paying in order to protect my credit.
The I gave it two more weeks, and called again ~ same story: placed on hold, transferred, told payment was sent. This happened over and over. Today is MARCH 3, 2016, and ANOTHER PAYMENT IS DUE SOON!!! This is a nightmare!
I am paying for two cars!
One I have no possession of!!! I will be taking this company to court because this is a grave injustice, and a violation of our contract!!!
Preferred solution: Pay off the trade-in as promised!!! ASAP
Did not get the service that I thought I would
I purchased my Jeep Grand Cherokee two years ago from Route 22 Nissan. I was very satisfied with the experience.
Since I was so satisfied, I started taking my truck in for service, i.e., oil change, etc. Well, about a month ago, I took my truck into the service department for a leak that I was having which was coming from the sun roof (with I was told). The person that took care of me was named Julian. He assured me that the will have it fixed to stop the leak.
I paid $344 and some change. After getting the truck back, it rained a couple of days after that and the leak was still there in the same place. I called Julian to inform him of this and he said that he will take a look at it again. So, I took it back again, he called me and said that it was not the sun roof it was the windshield and I had to pay $120.00 in addition to the $344 and change that I paid in the beginning with NO RESULTS!!!
I asked him why did I pay the $344 and change and nothing was repaired and why do I have to pay an additional $120.00 for a windshield. What was the $344 and change for? I could not get a direct answer from him. I thought about it and had my son-in-law take it in that next morning (I couldn’t miss another day off of work).
After I came into the office that morning, I thought about it some more and realized that this whole thing does not make any sense to me at all. Here I am paid $344 and change for a service that was not corrected and then was asked to pay another $120.00 for additional work. I called my son-in-law and asked him to go and pick up the truck. I called Frank at the service department; he is the manager to talk with him in regards to this.
I left two voice mail messages and to this day, I have not heard back from him. Since I did not hear from Frank, I searched and found out the General Manager (owner) is Mr. Gorr, they had on the website where you can contact him through e-mail. I e-mailed him and explained my problem fully and have not heard back from him either.
I e-mailed him again this week (5/6/13) and still have not heard from him. I would like to get my money back. I think this is so unfair.
It might not be a lot of money to Mr. Gorr, Julian or Frank, but it is to me when you are struggling and trying to make ends meet.
No car note payment received 4 referal
I brought my daughter in over a month ago she purchased a used Murano and has already paid her first car note, yet I have not received my car note payment.I was told over two weeks ago that the check was processed . I know Nissan has my correct address since I get mail from them all the time, I m getting the feeling that this is a sham no way this process should be taking this long. Ihave owned my Nissan Rogue for about two years now so all the requirements to get a car note payment have been meet.
Run dont Walk
I am an experienced car buyer having bought cars for myself since I was 18. As the title to my post says I would recommend you run not walk away from this dealer. I premise this post with the facts that I was wanting to leave a substantial amount of money down and was pre approved for a loan. Basically all the salesman had to do was get me to their finance department, the car FAX and answer a few questions. Apparently this was outside his skill set.
Outside the Manager Jerry customer service is none existent. If you call there trying to reach your salesman, Dave, first off there is a 70/30 chance you will be hung up on instead of being transferred. Second of all if you do get a chance to leave a message that does not mean they will return your phone call. Instead you get every excuse in the book as to why he did not call. Even when I informed them that since they were not doing anything to make me want to buy a car from them and dragging out the process I might go look some where else, they did not nothing. As a matter of fact the last conversation I had with them was to find out if they got my preapproval from the bank, Dave said he would call me back in two minutes, that was three weeks ago.Since then I found the same exact car with less miles cheaper at another dealer who was more then happy to have my business.
As I started off by saying, run don't walk away from this dealership. You will feel like you need a shower after dealing with them. Their prices on the internet are misleading. There is zero customer service. This is the first car salesman that my bank rep actually called incompetent. If after reading this you still by from them, I wish you the best.
Route 22 Nissan SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought the Versa in January 2011 from route 22 Nissan in NJ in June the AC stop working it turns out that the blower was out. The dealership didn't have the part so they gave us a "loaner" when I went to Hertz they needed a credit card so we gave it them they said the deposit would be return and it was the dealer said they would take car of the car rental bill.
It's November Hertz never got there money so they charge us I sent the Nissan Dealership the bill invoice Howard said it take care of it yeah they billed us instead. What can I do?

Not happening..I tried to work it out with Felix and MARK..Felix finds it hard to return a call, but sure can sell you a car...Zero follow up..Mark a nice guy but promises return calls and nothing happens..The general manager, or the guy that looks like he sits behind his desk and eats twinkees all day doesnt have a clue whats going on in is establishment..His mommy must own the business ...
Called him three times and you got it not one return call..Then after I have the car and they want it back...He calls all tough guy..He must of had a sugar rush from all them twinkess the way he yelled as if I was his kid.. Needless to say I returned there car and he says he will not give me a refund .. But I stopped my credit card and ill see him in court if need be..He wrote a contrac gave me a car with a price..He wants to change the price and isnt willing to treat a customer with respect..I called 50 times and no return calls..Then he wants em to stop what Im doing that day cause he wants his car back...
Well he has it 2,500 miles later..What a shame I would o fkeep the car if they just treated a customer like a customer...Im not a child I dont need to be force fed..Hopefuly he will get from behind his desk and stop eatting twinkess and see whats going on in his establishment..needless to say I have a brand new 2008 Ford edge thats nicer, vice sync sirus and much more..Less money and rides better.. So it all works out ...Hope he wworks on his anger , all that weight and anger = Heart attack..Good luck stay away from Nissan ROute 22 Hillside
Avoid Route 22 Nissan 399 Route 22W Hillside, NJ; Use Deceitful & Dishonest Business Practices
Purchased a new 2008 Nissan Altima January of this year (2008) from Route 22 Nissan located 399 Route 22W, Hillside, NJ. The sales employees that worked on my sale were dishonest and deceitful.
First, the itemized sales contract was eligible, which made it difficult to use the itemized data to understand the consolidated amounts listed on the loan contract. After I got home with the car, I reviewed the contracts for a couple of hours and found that the car price and trade in amount didn’t match what I had agreed to pay. These two items alone cost me an additional $1400. Second, I noticed that the itemized sales contract included a$499fee with no description and$199for etching.
Told the $499was for Ű “millennium package”. Sales manager, Camelo, said that the dealership adds these options to all of its vehicles, so I had no choice but to pay for them. Third, Nissan was offering a$500Graduate Cash Rebate. The dealership manager, Mark Fifi, and finance director, Darren Catalano, told me that the dealership will not issue me a rebate check.
This promotion is posted on Nissan’s official website www.nissanusa.com/buying/nissan-financing/current-offers.html,so not adhering to the advisement constitutes false advertising. Lastly, the finance representative, Matt O’Donnell, lied to me about what was covered under Nissan’s standard warranty in an attempt to pressure and persuade me into buying an extended warranty from him. I contacted other Nissan dealerships and Nissan Consumer Affairs and was told that I can purchase the extended warranty after the standard warranty expires and the standard warranty does cover electronics/parts that come standard with the car. The dealership’s actions indicate that they have no intention on doing anything to correct any of the issues outlined above.
Furthermore, the dealership engaged in such practices in the past-see following article http://www.nj.gov/oag/ca/press/lease.htm. I feel compelled to caution others, so they don’t have to endure the torture that I have been put through by Route 22 Nissan.
RT22 NISSAN Hillside NJ LIARS
Whatever you do, don't go to rt22 Nissan in Hillside NJ. I should have learned the 1st time they gave me a problem when I leased a car from them, which had a manufacture defect & it took for ever to get it resolved. Well *** me went back & re-leased an 07 altima! I had a small crack on my 05 bumper & I was concerned about getting into a new lease without repairing the bumper on the old one. They told me not to worry about it! that I have a $500 deductible at the end to cover any excess wear & tear. I listened to them & 3mnths later I get a bill from the collection agency stating I'm in collections with Nissan due to the excess wear & tear bill. for $500. They sent the bill to my old address and I was never even aware that I owed them $. Now I'm in collections & my credit was EXCELLENT! And of course now I keep getting the run-around & the excuses, the hang-ups, holding for hours on the phone with rt22 and they keep ignoring my calls!!! Don't believe them! they are dishonest & there customer Service is Horrible!
Go somewhere else! they try & look like the most honest & caring dealership so that you can fill out a survey about there customer service. When you write a good review about them, they stop calling you & then come the problems!

I’m with you man. They take your money and they never want to hear from you agnain.they tell you deal with the bank.
After all they tell you once you signed the car does not belong to them .
But gather to the bank. So I would never recommend this institution to do business.
