  • - Dealer pressured for hours, hid pricing/financing; KARR aftermarket system wired under the steering wheel; arbitration required with recordings.
Updated by user Oct 19, 2025

Not sure how to upload my emails and my audio and video recordings to public platform. I will try to figure out providing the conversations here with obvious crop of my info..

Original review Oct 19, 2025
Have posted reviews on many sites. I'm going to summarize on this one. There's a long, long history, but I will focus on this issue. I went to return the lease and get the new one on September 3. The usual just pounding and disrespect, just pounding and doing anything, saying anything to get some dollars from you. Slip something in and finance, tell you something that they tell you nothing about anything—no prices, nothing. They might mention something; guess what? Financed in your contract.

OK, the issue is the KARR system that the dealer installs on every car on that lot. It's an aftermarket; think it is not a Toyota thing. They splice right into your wires underneath your steering wheel—supposed to be additional security. Long story short: they're liars, they're complete liars. They purposely just keep pounding you and pounding you. I wasn't even shopping for a car, and it was 4 1/2 hours. I was easy breezy; I was a sure sale. I walked in, and here's this one; give me the next one—at least cars for way over a decade.

OK, but the last couple of times they did the evil, dishonest crap to get more money in your contract. So all I gotta say is, I contacted the KARR company. Guess what? They scheduled someone who was out in three days. They removed that from my wiring, they removed it, and they said, 'We're giving this to you,' and they said, 'You need to take it back to the dealer.' Regardless, the dealer knows; the dealer is fully aware of what's going on. They will not even contact me, so people, I gotta tell you this: it's gonna get ugly. I have all the recordings of phone calls, and by the way, so do they. They better not lose them.

They have video that they take; they take audio; they record all your phone calls. But people, make sure you record it yourself. You're forced to do arbitration; you can't sue their butts. Take that stuff into arbitration. Keep all of your emails, keep everything, keep everything, record everything. They're hung this time; they give you a flash drive—mine was dead. Took me forever to get the documents and the bull they pulled, saying I had to stop by to get the actual additional papers other than the contract. Had to physically go in, and they would print me a copy. Then I was just, whenever I was in the area. Yeah, they want to stall for time, stall, stall, stall. Even if they answer these, it's all gonna be lies. So go ahead and do all the filing of reviews and complaints and then demand that arbitration.

My 2019 Toyota Tacoma Sport is so confused.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Prefers the 2014 Tacoma Sport to the 2019 model due to handling issues.
  • - The 2019 model shifts up early and downshifts into turbo boost.

I'll keep this short. I absolutely loved my 2014 Toyota Tacoma Sport pick up and I wish I never traded it for this ill handling 2019 Tacoma Sport truck and its very confused transmission.

I have never disliked driving a vehicle like I do this one.

It made my wife carsick for the first time in her life and it always upshifts to soon making it bog down when you need to give it gas. When it does downshift, it puts you into "turbo boost" making an unpleasant ride.

Think twice before buying.

  • - Second key missing; replacement would take two weeks.
  • - Staff knew the second key was unavailable and cash purchase took 5 hours with upselling.

After we purchased our new car from Roseville Toyota, as we were climbing in the car, we asked for the second key. They stated it was misplaced and we would have it the next day.

Next day I get a call that they had to order a new key and it would be Two business weeks for us to get it.

They knew all along that they did not have a second key, anything to get us out and be done with us. Also it took 5 hours of their dicking around to purchase a car with CASH, always selling add ons, think they will wear you down

  • - They took trade-in keys and never returned them.
  • - They offered insufficient, overpriced offers and ignored an agreed price.
  • - Do not go to Roseville Toyota.

Roseville Toyota is, without a doubt, the worst car buying experience you can possibly imagine. I had always been a fan of Toyotas, and was looking to trade in my Tacoma for a larger model.

Upon arriving, they immediately took my keys for the trade in. This is not unusual, except for the fact that they never gave them back. When I had finished looking at vehicles and could not come to an agreement on price, I asked for my keys back. Instead, they continued to bring insufficient and overpriced offer after offer instead of bringing me the keys to my own vehicle.

Hours later, I finally left. The salesman then called me and said that they were willing to give me the price that I had requested. When I went back to the dealership however, they then took my keys to my vehicle, and proceeded to come back at me with prices that were nowhere near what we had agreed upon. Again, when I asked to get my keys back for my own vehicle, they didn't bring them.

Instead, they continued to bring me insufficient and overpriced offer after offer until finally, I had to get up, go to the desk myself, and demand my keys in order to escape the dealership. These are not straightforward individuals. They will cheat you. They shift to deceitful tactics in order to get your business.

Save yourself the headache and your precious time. Do not go to Roseville Toyota.

Roseville Toyota Customer Care Review from Roseville, California

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - They said recall parts were available and I could leave the car.
  • - On return I was told parts were unavailable and the service department was closed.

Roseville toyota advised me on 4/29/2016 they had plenty of Parts to fix the recall..no worry about ever making an appointment. I talked to Alex the service manager he said "sure you can leave the car here a few days while you fly up to Seattle to visit family".

3 weeks later i dropped the car off as planned. on the way to the airport I got a phone call advising me that they had no parts to fix the recall.

I called 2 days prior to flying back to pick up the car saying I was coming to pick it up on Monday May 31st, I was told that's fine come on and get the car. I arrive to find service department is locked up and closed.

Cons:
  • Being told they had the part when they did not
