No answer at Rose Radiology

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Called Rose Radiology for an appointment on Tuesday, no one answered so i thought maybe they are at lunch.

Called again after 1 pm. no answer after many rings.

Called again around 3 pm and decided to let it ring for a longer time.

Finally got an answering machine, left my name and number.

No return call. Called again today Weds. no answer. Call # 5 let it ring a longer time and rec'd the answering machine.

Left another message and did not get a response. Finally drove there to see for myself if there were problems with the phone.

I saw the young lady and told her i have been trying to reach them for 2 days for an appointment, her response was " I'm sorry there are only 2 of us here." They may have been busy as I saw the woman in the back part doing work on the computer. No business should be that busy that no one answers a phone. Poor decision to just let the phone ring...oh and while i was there, i did not hear any phones ringing.

Sorry you lost a patient and recommendations.

I have worked at 2 hospitals as a receptionist/sec'y. I handled all calls and appointments etc.

Called on a Wednesday to ask for cds and reports to be mailed to me for an upcoming appointment. It was worth the $10 to have it mailed.

Was not postmarked until the following Wednesday and just arrived on Saturday. 10 days later! Needless to say I did not have it for my appointment.

All my Rose visits have had some issue and now this is icing on cake. They are a horribly run company with employees who could care less.

I took my 97 year old mother for a 2:00pm appt. I went early (1:30) so I could fill out paperwork.

I noticed several people that came in after had been called and figured I'd better check to see when she'd be called. This was 2:20pm. The girl said she should get called soon - that her appt was 2:30pm. This was absolutely wrong.

I wrote it on my calendar when I made the appt and they called to confirm the time as 2:00 over the phone. I told the girl that she was incorrect - my appt time was 2:00. She said (and I might add a bit snottingly) that they probably said to come at 2:00 to do paperwork. I told her that NO - THat is not correct.

I confirmed the 2:00 appt more than once to be sure. A bit after 2:30 someone came and said they would take her in "about" (love that one) 10 min. (probably would mean 15 or 20). I told her to give me my script back - I am leaving and won't be back that I would go somewhere else and I did.

There are plenty of places near that can do what she needed. In this day and age of computers and e-mails etc., they better clean up their act.

Worst Experience Ever

I never even got as far as scheduling an appointment. The receptionist I was unlucky enough to speak with both times I attempted to make the appointment has to be the rudest person I've ever dealt with in the healthcare profession.

The second time I tried I was literally brought to tears because the woman was so short, nasty and uncooperative with me. I asked to make an appointment for an MRI. When she asked what part of the body it was for, I told her it was of the brain and gave her the exact diagnosis on the paperwork. Her response was, "Does it say MRI of the brain?" If the diagnosis was "Unspecified dementia without behavioral disturbance", I would think she would know which part of the body it was for.

This review is for the Boot Ranch location. I was so disgusted I contacted my insurance company to change the authorization to a different company.

I WILL HELP YOU FROM TEXAS. I DID NOT WORK THERE BUT THEY ARE GUILTY OF FRAUD, WASTE AND ABUSE!

NOT ONLY A PATIENT.

BUT I AM LICENSED MEDICARE AGENT AS WELL. HOW CAN I HELP

Please review my comment on Rose Radiology. I cannot pull up the entire comment.

I believe my entire comment should be made so technologist can reply to their experiences.People who had exams on Dr.Roses upright - stand up MRI need to know their exams were done on a Mid field scanner and not a high field as advertised. And exams on this scanner were done below American College of Radiology standards which are required in order to keep accreditation and required by Medicare.

Rose Radiology Mri Procedure Review from Riverview, Florida

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went to my doctor after having a dislocated shoulder. He sent me to rose radiology Riverview to get an mri done.

The insurance had me do an x-ray first and it did not show anything. I still had a problem with my shoulder so he had me do an mri. The mri only showed a bruised socket and bone. Still had problem.

Got sent to Florida Orthopaedic by Doctor. They did their mri and found a torn rotator cuff and torn bicep tendon. That costed me three extra months off work for a bad mri!

Mri's are not cheap! I can't believe they get away with this kind of stuff!

I will never use Rose Radiology again!!!

I went to talk to them after and all they did was give me excuses on how their machine for mri's is not as strong as Florida orthopaedic's. They should not be allowed to do mri's if it doesn't show what it should!

An X-ray isn’t going to show a torn rotator cuff or anything soft tissue like an mri shows FYI so you shouldn’t write a bad review on something you are badly misinformed about!

They stated they were sent for a stand up mri AFTER an X-ray. Stand up mri images are very poor at ONLY .6 Tesla.

Yes that is .6 Tesla 3tesla is what you want in an mri machine.

We all wonder how stand up MRI gets away with still reading images off a .6 TESLA The brand is THE STAND UP MRI MADE BY FONAR. Pathetic company

Guest

Did you have this done on his Stand Up mri ?? If so it was probably done below American College of Radiology standards. AND if done on that scanner...he advertises it as a High field scanner....it is not...it is a mid field.

Rose Radiology Mri Procedure Review

Yes I had an experience at Rose Radiology. I was a MRI tech for him.

If you had an exam on his stand up MRI contact an attorney. While I worked at this center Dr Rose cheated on his ACR accredidation exam - he scanned employees not pts for the test. He also only uses 10cc. max.

dose of contrast no matter what you weigh - this is not in accordance with manufacturers instruction which were approved by the FDA. The stand up or upright magnet is not a high field - it is a mid field magnet and is sold as such by the maker of the magnet. The exams done at his center were below ACR standards - obtain your exam and have it reread by another Radiologist. I worked in radiology for forty years and my experience at RRC was the worst example of patient care I ever saw.

Patients are required to complete their exam in the scheduled time ( which is too short ) or they have to get off scanner and reschedule for completion of exam - per Dr Rose. Dr Rose also uses techs that are not ACR certified in MRI.The tech that oriented me to the scanner and the tech that replaced me were both non ACR accredited - both were very ethical techs but with out proper license. Before you go to RRC check his lawsuit record.

And do not have a breast exam done on this machine - it not capable of doing proper breast exams - call the American Cancer Society and see what they say about mid field MRI breast exams. Check with the American College of Radiology also.

Review in Hospitals, Clinics and Medical Centers, Doctors category from Tampa, Florida

They are full of ***. A DVD can contain many MRI s.

I know I worked at this site. My suggestion is to obtain your exam and have it reviewed by a ethical Radiologist for ACR standards compliance. Have them check pixel size and ask the Dr if your exam was done on a high field MRI or a mid - field. If it was done at RRC.on Kennedy it was not a high field MRI even though it is advertised as such.

If you had contrast and weigh more than 110lbs your dosage was under FDA approval.

ALSO find out who the tech.was and see if they were ACR registered. Worst imaging center I ever worked at and I have been a tech for 40 yrs.

Rose Radiology-low work standards

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am very shocked but I must say that Dr. Rose has very low standards of work. Service and quality of the medical written reports are TERRIBLE!

Please do not go there! It is a waste of time and money. I had a scan done to determine if there were any changes in my tumor.

Both of my doctors received the written report and complained to me that the written report of my results of the scan was incomplete/information was missing. There were no measurements of the tumor in the report and thus it could not be determined if there were any changes.

I went back to Rose Radiology and took down the cell phone of Dr. Rose, which is hanging in the front lobby for feedback/complaints. I called the number and I spoke to his assistant, not Dr. Rose, about the written reports. I felt like his assistant was trying to belittle me and blamed my doctors for not being able to read the report properly.

Honestly, I am very shocked by the poor quality of work standards at Rose Radiology. I will never go there again. I have a great experience with the Mease Hospitals and I would recommend Mease Hospitals as a better solution for radiology.

Went to Pick Up X-Rays...None in Package

My son had an x-ray at the Trinity Rose Radiology location (2144 Duck Slough Blvd.). After the pediatrician reviewed the x-rays, we were told to see a specialist.

I went back to Rose to pick up the x-rays. I signed in. I was never acknowledged. I had to go to the window to ask if I would be able to pick up my x-rays.

They preceded to make a cd of the images. It was then put in a cardboard foldable packet. I left. A few weeks later, we went to the specialist all the way down at All Children's in St.

Pete. After turning the x-ray foldable to the nurse, I was told their was no disc in the packet. I was never given the disc to begin with. They had handed me an empty packet.

It would have been nice for them to call and let me know that they forgot to put it in before driving all the way to St. Pete! Or maybe it is chaotic in the office that the left hand doesn't really know what the right hand is doing! I will never go to a Rose Radiology again.

I will use Trinity Outpatient for all my family's imaging needs. Even if it means paying more!

Partial images

After getting an MRI on my cervical spine (neck area), I followed with 2 Dr.s appointments for review of images. I was told by both Dr.s that the "pictures" were not all on the DVD.

I was sent to another imaging center for more. Being in the area, I decide to go back to Rose to inquire about the negative response I had gotten from my Dr.s concerning the MRI. I asked if they had more images from my MRI that had not been given to me. I was told that, yes, they had more.

The receptionist downloaded the remaining images to a second DVD. When I asked why this was not done from the start, I was told, "I am not the tech. There must have been too many images to fit on one DVD". Really????

After spending an extra $170.00 for second trips to the Dr.s (allowing them to see the complete MRI's) and MRI's at another facility, I was diagnosed with a serious problem that requires surgery. Thank God I had Dr.s that knew something was missing from the images. I shudder to think what could have been. Their lack of a second DVD, as well as their uncaring attitude, lack of professionalism and frankly, their inability to to do their job correctly will certainly be a factor in referring anyone to Rose.

God only knows how many lives they may have put in jeopardy. This is serious business that Dr.s rely on for their diagnosis.I won't be back, nor will anyone I care about.

Bad Customer Experience at Rose Radiology (BEWARE)

This concerns an experience at the Rose Radiology Clinic located at

4714 N. Armenia Ave

Tampa, Fl. 33603

My physician ordered an MRI at this facility and Rose Radiology contacted me within a day or two to set up the appointment.

Arriving at the facility per the appointment time I was ask to provide my insurance card and photo ID. Which I did.

A short time later I was again called to the front desk and given paperwork to fill out, fairly standard no big deal.

When the paperwork was completed and returned to the front desk I was than called up and told that I would need to pay $300 up front for the procedure as I had not met my deductible through my Insurance Carrier.

I explained to the floor supervisor that this was not the way my insurance works at any other provider and that I would contact my insurance company to see if this was the process.

Contacting my insurance company I was told that the normal procedure was for providers to perform prescribed tests or procedures and than to submit a bill to the insurance company. The company would than review and pay the amount allotted for each procedure per the billing code and would than issue an EOB,(explanation of benefits), to both the physicians billing office and to the insured.

The provider would than bill the patient any remaining amount owed per his/her plan coverage.

The patient than would compare the bill from the physician to the one received from the insurance company and if the amount was the same would be responsible for said amount.

I let the floor supervisor talk to the insurance agent who explained their contract to her, and she in turn went to confer with her financial representative.

She came back some time later and now told me that they would proceed with the MRI if I would now pay them $175 to which I said no and again reviewed the billing process per their contract with the insurance company.

The floor supervisor went to discuss further with her financial person on site and returned and now told me that they would proceed if I gave them $50.

I was insulted and infuriated as one might guess and collected my paperwork and left.

The next day I found an e mail link to Dr. Rose and sent an email stating the situation and how it was handled by his office in Tampa.

I received an email the next morning saying that I would be contacted as soon as they had a chance to investigate the situation.

I received a phone call from a representative of Dr. Rose's staff and was informed that they had contacted the insurance provider and were told that they were with their legal rights to charge up front for services if a patient and not met his/her deductible for the year. They of course were talking only to the Contract Sales Rep and/or the Broker who sold them the contract who of course would say anything so as not to potentially lose Rose's clinics business in the future.

The did not contact anyone who works through contract issues in the company which would have told them that they were incorrect with their methods.

Rose Radiology has no way of knowing if a patient has many outstanding bills in process that would potentially meet his/her deductible for the year. If a patient pays a provider and in the meantime has met his/her deductible the patient must go back to the provider and try to get their money refunded. Fat chance.

In the meantime I have researched and found other providers that do not work this way and will use their services instead.

Recommend that you stay away from all Rose Radiology Clinics as they try to practice this same procedure at their other facilities as well. Patients don't need to treated like this. They apparently have a bad business model that requires them to generate up front cash to keep their business afloat.

WARNING: STAY AWAY!

I had a seated MRI taken of my neck on 4-22-2016. 3 people in front of me, I believe I was the last one in.

After 1 hr and 20 minutes I was done. I went out front and waited for my disc, upon receiving my disc in 3-5 minutes I left.

I went to my doctors appointment with my disc and the disc had an MRI taken in 2015 of an ankle belonging to a lady. For this reason I could never recommend Rose to anyone.

Guest

An insult to the MRI and medical field, need a much more deserving and knowledgeable staff, disgusting! Sounds like someone needs money for their own personal gain!

Guest

They also obtain illegal authorizations acting as the referring provider so they can get the procedure approved so they get paid. They treat their employees horrible, play used car salesman scams with patients but spend tons of money giving their top referring doctors, illegal kickbacks. They should be shut down.

Agree. Look up his lawsuits.

He should be in jail. Take your exam to another Radiologist and see what they say about its quality - will bet it is poor.
