DONT USE THIS "COMPANY"!!!

This "company" is owned and staffed by one person "Margo Taylor" who also goes by the aliases Margo Madden and Margo Weingarten. She uses fake names in her communications with customers.

She is rude and seems exasperated to have to speak with people at all. Horrible attitude. They don't use their real company name of MBA MARKETING, INC. and don't list their real location.

She only allows cancellations via mail to a PO box red flag) I'm sure they hope you are unable to comply or unable to prove you complied, so they can charge you full cost of services. We abided by the cancellation policy and submitted our written request for cancellation in writing to their PO Box. We also notified them over the phone and via email of the cancellation to allow them the opportunity to pause or remove any automatic charges prior to the scheduled date. She attempted to hit our card for the full hotel stay amount anyway.

Luckily we had made sure to advise our credit card that we rescinded the authorization so they would not approve the charge and we fully documented our cancellation and proof of delivery to their PO box location within the allowed cancellation period.

As expected SHE has not responded with her acknowledgement that the reservation was cancelled in good order. They also have many fake reviews on several review sites.

So, we booked Rooms101 for Myrtle Beach. And as some of the people here reported, I was given several options of hotels.

We wanted to stay particularly in North Myrtle Beach. They sent me the contract and even confirmed before we left the exact resort we were staying in. However, when we arrived in Myrtle, after 10 hours of driving with our kids, the hotel could not find our reservation. I presented them with the Rooms101 confirmation packet but they were not able to find it.

There were 2 sister hotels right next door to each other and the front desk people kept sending us back and forth between them because they couldn’t understand why I had a confirmation and no reservation. They found our reservation number, but it applied to a reservation that checked out in 2016! LOL! This literally confirms that Rooms 101 never made a reservation for us in that hotel from the very beginning.

Having no place to go, I called their “emergency” number.

First, I’m not sure why it qualifies as an emergency number since no one answers the phone and they didn’t call us back for at least another 20-30 minutes, which is a very long time to wait in an emergency or in the car with no place to go. Once they finally did call back, the guy on the phone basically called me stupid as I was trying to explain our going back and forth between the 2 hotels. Then he implied that I should have followed instructions, which I did, to a “t”. Then, he implied that if we were there at 4 pm rather than much earlier, this wouldn’t have happened.

Really? All that being said, after a much longer wait for him to call me back because he had to discuss the matter with “his provider”, he said that the air conditioner in the unit we were originally given did not work and therefore we had to go to a different hotel. This different hotel was no where near where we wanted to stay nor did it present as we expected. The “hotel” we got seemed like someone’s apartment because we had no housekeeping services there.

They wouldn’t even change our towels and told us we had to wash them ourselves. There was not a single restaurant on the premises. Needless to say, we were very disappointed, but we had already traveled 10 hours so going back was not really an option. Afterwards, I called and left a message for them expressing our dissatisfaction and followed up with an email.

They didn’t respond to either. I called again and again, no response or call back. Be weary!

Stay away! I am attempting to reverse the charges with our credit card, so hopefully, that ends well.

Liars and horrible customer service!

We booked a townhouse in Kissimmee through Rooms 101. We spoke on the phone with “Margo”.

She told us about several different resorts with town houses we could rent with different prices. I googled pictures and maps of several of them while he was still on the phone with her. We decided on Oakwater because it was so close to WDW and there was a Walmart across the street. We put down a down payment, and she said she would send an email with all our information.

Days passed and no email. That should have tipped us off right there. We tried to get a hold of her on the number she gave us as her contact, and could never get an answer. Finally we found a customer service number and a guy named John got an email sent out with the bill and a short note saying the rest of the information would be sent in an email 72 hours before we arrive.

Fast forward to 72 hours before..

no Email. We called a couple phone numbers we had and no answer, one gave an “emergency number “ and they gave us another number, so on until we literally had 9 different numbers and no one knew anything. The next day we finally got someone to send us an email with the address where we were supposed to check in... not where we were staying, just a check in place...

And get this, they said we had to check in at 4pm, we couldn’t come any earlier, but if we came after 4 pm, our information would be in a box outside! Since the email didn’t mention Oakwater, just a Kissimmee Resort, my husband pressed them about it. They said well, we don’t know where you’re staying. We told them we were supposed to be at Oakwater.

After a while a snotty woman said “Well I don’t know where you’re staying, but it’s definitely NOT Oakwater!” So... how do you know it’s not Oakwater if you don’t know where? We were hot!

So we got to the check in place at 4 pm and got our information from the coldest woman you’ve ever met. It says we are staying in Davenport!

40 minutes away!?! My husband got on the phone again, surprise, surprise, no one knows anything. So we drove to the resort only to find we then owe another $170 in Resort fees!

Never, Never, Never book through Rooms 101!! They lie and their customer service stinks!

Horrible

I attempted to book a vacation with them in Myrtle Beach South Carolina when I initially had given my card number all was well and I had no issues. The lady rush me off the phone in a very rude manner with no confirmation number nor did she explain anything other than you will receive an email shortly.

I took note of the time posted on their website stating that they basically close at 4:30pm EST. However an email I receive shortly after hanging up the phone stated that they did not close until 9 p.m. EST so this got my mind wondering. I attempted to call back when I realize I had to give him someone my credit card number and had no information as to check in dates Etc.

I could not for the life of me get anyone on the phone until I blocked my number and literally called right back the same exact lady answer the phone I'm sure of this. She wanted me to repeat my number to her and I told her I wasn't willing to do that the number that she repeated to me were correct the first time and incorrect the second time she seemed to still be attempting to get me to repeat the number to her. When asked if I could contact the hotel on my own since I couldn't understand why it wouldn't take my card knowing what's in all of my accounts the lady got really hostile and began to tell me that seeing as though I was looking through a third party I was not able to call the hotel. I told her I was not willing to repeat my number a fist I'm this resulted in her saying you are a joke and do not call back here.

Prior to this I ask to speak to a supervisor and she abruptly told me someone will contact you. It was not until I had to get out of character and let her know do to where I'm employed I'm very familiar with people running scams and how it generally works. Once that was stated maybe 10 minutes later a guy called back proclaiming to be a supervisor he wanted to give me all of the stats on his company and how they've been in service for 29 years and the only complaints they ever have is when customers are charged and all of a sudden they don't want to accept the charges. I basically told him he was a liar according to online .

I wouldn't book with this company if they gave the rooms away for free. They both sound as if they are in their house and we're possibly even in the same room.

He claims are only for booking agents for the entire company I beg to differ. It is the same lady answering the calls each time he did confirm that the calls were screened which validates my not being able to get through until I blocked my number either way don't do it.

Rooms 101 a scam

We were in Phoenix last Thanksgiving and booked a hotel and time share presentation with rooms 101 in Las Vegas to get away for a few days. Unfortunately, we needed to cancel due to my mother's illness and subsequent death since we were not able to leave her.

We were assured that the hotel was canceled and we would get a refund. We refused the charge on our credit card. They refuted that and when we went to use the $139 credit that we had with rooms 101, they told us that is was gone because we had refused the credit card charge. What a terrible way to rip someone off for $139.

We went back to our credit card company a second time and rooms 101 told them a bunch of lies.

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BOOKING WITH ROOMS 101! I have read many other reviews of nothing but problems with them.

Roaches & more Roaches

We purchased a 5 day /4nite vacation from rooms 101 for July2-6. The 2 bedroom condo was full of roaches.

We called & called rooms 101& they never returned our call. They finally called back about 10 pm to book Our tour. 10pm. I told them I was not staying in that room ,I wanted a refund.

They tried to put us in another adjoining roach room , I refused . Katie offered us food coupons, for the roach problem & wanted us to be @ the tour @ 1 the next day. I ask for her name she said Katie & would not give her last name. Very rude .

Hurricane Arthur came in late that nite of check in& July 3. I was told by some man that would not give his name that if I did not want the food coupons (that they wanted me to pull up on my phone) that I could check out. They did not deal with unhappy customers. We all stayed in one bed that we had not seen bugs for the duration of the storm.

It was the worse trip ever. Then they billed my card 200.00 extra because I would not leave my things in the roach motel & take a tour. We kept some of the roaches for evidence for my credit card company. They won't get away with this.

Going to let my Credit Card Company handle it. Big roaches to. Disgusting & nasty. They need to be stopped.

Scammers. Katie is a rude joke& does not know her job or customer service.

Talking about my attitude. I told her that if she was in the room with roaches how nice would her attitude be.

Sent to roach infested accommodations

My family booked a vacation with Rooms 101. We got to the accommodations & there were roaches all over the kitchen when we turned the lights on.

They were crawling everywhere. Tried to call Rms 101 several times no answer. Front desk finally sent a maintenance guy over after several calls with a can of bug spray. Spray was so strong we could barely breathe.

The bugs really went crazy then. The maintenance man said their was a nest in behind the stove. The room would need extermination. They tried to move us to another roach invested room next to that one.

I ask for a refund. They wanted to give me food coupons that I had to pull up on my phone.I declined & was told if I did not want the coupons & was not happy I could check out. Check in was July 2 2014 when I first saw the roaches . Hurricane Arthur came in & on July 3 & the company still had not provided us with a deceit room or a refund.

They operate under 3 names MBA Marketing ,Rooms 101, & also Quality Vacations, but claim they r different companies. After I refused to take a tour until I had suitable lodging .

They charged me another 200.00. I will let my bank handle it.

Rooms101.com / MBA marketing fradulant advertising

Updated by user Jun 05, 2013

Once we got back from vacation I spoke to a representative that was able to clear up the confusion. She professionally provided me with helpful information.

Based on what I know now I would book future vacations through this company again. :)

Original review May 26, 2013

On May 10, 2013 I called and spoke to Katie at rooms101 aka mba marketing. She verified my income, age, and that I had a credit card to show at the timeshare.

I gave her my debit card to pay the deposit and to take the remaining 900 out in 7 days. She knew it was a debit card. I confirmed that when we arrived that Saturday I could set up my timeshare presentation for the next day so we could use our Disney tickets starting on Monday. She promised me we would be able to get it done on Sunday and that she would make a note on my paperwork that says to book us first available for our presentation.

The following week the remaining amount was taken out of my checking account. When we arrived at our hotel that Saturday night we were told they had no record of our booking with them. They looked in all of their systems and could not find anything. The lady checking us in called the afterhour’s emergency line.

She spoke to Katie. Katie told her that she didn’t have access to the system and could not help us until Monday. When the lady asked Katie why there was an emergency line if they could not help Katie started yelling at her and was very rude. Luckily the lady checking us in found us a place to stay that night.

The next morning we found out from the onsite timeshare bookers that the reason we did not have a room was because the timeshare company on the 10th sent an email back to rooms101 to tell them that we did not qualify since we paid using a debit card. Rooms 101 knew that we did not have a room based on the email but yet they took the remaining money from my account the next week. Then we found out that we could not get our tickets until we completed the timeshare presentation which was on Tuesdays and Thursdays only! Luckily the guy let us buy the tickets ($1000) and then reimbursed us after the presentation.

I repeatedly called rooms101 and sent emails but have yet to get a hold of anyone. I know they have called id because Katie knew it was me calling when I was booking my vacation. Its very upsetting that I had a huge problem down there and could not get a hold of anyone. We lost a day of our vacation and were out money because this company knowingly took our money even though we did not have a room reserved for us when we got to Florida.

We were also put up in a defective room at the resort because they had to scramble to find us accommodations. We slept in a room with no AC and then had to repack and move the next day into another room that worked. We also booked this resort based on the photos provided by rooms101 website. Upon getting to the resort we realized that half the pictures were not even of the resort.

We booked thinking this resort had a lazy river for the kids to play in. That was not the case.

There were only two small pools to play in. The way rooms101 handles themselves is very deceptive.
