Verified Reviewer |Got my MC back in worse running condition then when it went in.
I've had ongoing battery issues where they replace battery and I get home and it has a bad cell, everytime they say they replaced battery I get a fault on a maintain battery unit I bought from them. Finally battery died in my carport and it had emergency brake on so I had to disconnect brake at rear wheel so I could get it towed.
Called dealership and informed service of issue and brake and went to pick it up and they said new battery had issue and they have backup battery ready to go... Well they said they found issue with brake then and it needed to be fixed and explained I told service and they said service didn't tell us and it would take a few hours so I said I'd come back the next day. They were very nice and had bike all polished up and got home to bad cell error again. Went back and they charged me for putting in battery which gave me the same error once home.
My thought is they never replaced battery and in fixing the brake problem gave me back a bike that had flashing brake light on display and error message popping up on display as I drove. Bike brought out not cleaned up, my battery charging wires hanging outside seat. (why are they charging a new battery??) Svc mgr came out and asked what was wrong and I pointed it out...told me to put a for sale sign on it and recommended some rallies where it might sell. I have no faith in ever bringing bike back to them or buying a new one for BRP has dropped older models like they have leprosy.
I fought with GM when svc dept told me to try a dealership 30 miles away that might service +10 year old bike. HD unfortunately is not an option for me and Can-Am (my can-am) has been good to me and my wife and we enjoy it but I'm through with that company that abandons their customers not letting them know without a forewarning that after 10 years your bike is worthless.
I can't believe how this dealership has treated me and my bike. I have since put a new battery in myself and wish I had done this from beginning thus this scam never would of taken place and I would not be writing this letter putting down BRP dealers and their customer service.
