Runaround for a fix

So honest truth and honest story... At this point I'm struggling to stay "nice" while they give me the run around.

Probably one of the most dishonest line of work to be apart of. Either they sold me my Honda Civic Hatchback Sport with the undercarriage of the front bumper of the car pretty much gone or somebody came by at night while it was at my house and did damage to it. Bought the car in August of 2022 and took it in to get fixed October of 2022. Went in and they ran a diagnostics on the vehicle, after the diagnosis they told me that I'd be paying 1300 for the parts and labor.

I said ok and have been making payments on that price ever since. The parts were not there at the time so they said I can take my car back and bring it in when the parts got there. They told me the parts would be there in a week from October first. Then they told me a part got pushed back till the 25th of October.

The 25th of October came and parts were still not there. November came and parts still not there. All the parts got there on March 13. Five months for what was supposed to be a relatively quick fix.

I finally take my car in. The awesome employee that was working there got laid off. They put a new person on my case. All that was supposed to happen was that I bring my car in and they do the fix and I walk out of there right?

Nope. They say that i didn't pay for labor and that labor would cost me 195 dollars. I told them that I only signed off and am paying for the 1300 dollar price I was originally given because that included everything. They said there was no receipt on file for the labor and so I said ok maybe they're right.

They run diagnostics on the car after that and say that all the parts that I ordered need to be mounted on the bumper and that because the bumper was damaged they need a new bumper. I told them that's what I was told in October so that isn't new news. "I thought the bumper was included in the original 1300 dollar price", i said, "no it wasn't and because of that you actually have to go to the auto body to get your car fixed", they replied. They recommend a car auto body that they give business to.

After the car is taken there, the person on my case called me and said the auto body told her that it would cost an additional 700 dollars to fix everything. I'm thinking ok it went from 1300 to 1495 to now 2195. Maybe that's the end of it all right? Nope.

Now the auto body guy calls me personally and says that they don't have a bumper and that the 700 dollar price that was quoted didn't include the bumper. The bumper is going to cost 400 dollars. So here's the math again... it started at 1300, then went to 1495, then went to 2195 and now the new price of pretty much 2600 dollars.

Currently the guy at the auto body shop told me that he'll have "the girls call me to give me the logistics on payment". So if this trend is right, I should expect "the girls" to give me another mark up on the price.

At this point I'm trying to pay whatever I need to pay and get my car the *** out of there. I've learned my lesson dealing with "car salesman disguised as mechanics"...

Car drop off in driveway no paperwork just a key it was dark so couldn't noticed damage.several dents in door and seat separated from plastic.there is damage on passenger side under door.cant believe they had the nerve to even send this vehicle to me.contact them next day and sense then am getting past around the block no one ever followed up on my complaint just send someone else and after you done told the same story over 50 times they want you to tell new contact information you already done told a hundred times over and sent many pictures and still after that no more updates on issue now months into this.I can see they aren't going to fix my car but,but make sure they are getting payment.am shocked that my retirement car is a 21,ooo dollar lemon.this company not gonna honor customer nor are they gonna care what you receive from them not standing behind the vehicle that they sell you they only concern is that you buy.and hope you are one of the lucky ones that don't in up screwed out of your hard earned money doing a pandemic.they did fix alternator for me because couldn't drive it without serval codes coming on.All I wanted was my money's worth.Iam willing to accept car seat covers to cover damage seat and just fix the door on drivers side looks bad to had a 21,000 car and all you see is dents in drivers door unbelievable that this was sold online and damages hidden in pictures.none of online pictures show's any of the damage the pictures were taken around damage.i will continue to pray that this company will not make me suffer anymore.my blood pressure is good for now can't talk no more to them unless they are gonna fix my car.again shame on you you wouldn't buy damages good for yourself so why you think I should stand behind your sales.stay behind your business and I hope every time you get in your nice car you think about me getting in my 21,000 damage vehicle you sold me.ask for close up picturesAlso inside pics of seats this car has large cigarettes burns in front driver seat I don't smoke looks bad.

Reimbursement SCAM

Updated by user Mar 09, 2013

It has now been a month since the BBB received my complaint, but they haven't done anything about it. Another check came in, but I'm still short about $4, 000 and they should pay the 4.33% APR.

Original review Feb 05, 2013

Services and "warranties" were cancelled. It has been over 3 months without a refund.

Personnel in Finance Mr. Uy and the dealer's general manager, Juan Rivera were contacted. They both reasured me that all reimbursements are being processed, but the matter is still not solved. I mention BBB and a check of $432 came 3 days later.

They still owe over $4,000 and I think they should reimburse the 4.33APR% being charged.

Do not allow auto dealers to keep your money without proper reimbursement. File complaints so other customers and the BBB is aware and we stop this thieves.
