Verified ReviewerFailure to show up to do contracted work.
- - Paid $3,400 deposit; repairs delayed with excuses and missed starts.
- - The company never called or showed up; schedule kept changing.
We are 78 & 80 year olds. We contracted RMD & Son Contracting to do an assortment of needed repairs on our house in October 2025 and gave check for$3,400.00 deposit.
They came up with many various reasons for not showing up until late November when there was 12 to 16 inches of snow on the ground to do concrete chimney repair and exterior painting. These can not be done properly in bitter cold. In early May, we called again, and in a couple of days they called back and said May 27 to start. On that date they said this was not the agreed time, and sometime next week.
Never called, never came. More excuses, followed by later and later possible dates. Old people beware.
Do not ever agree to a job by anyone without an exact date of commencement. No matter what sweet talk you get, make a completion date manditory.
