BEWARE! Rio Salado's YANA NORMANDIN - unethical, predator
- - Rio Salado College did not warn about instructor Yana Normandin.
- - The post alleges two restraining orders, foreclosures, and a relative with crimes.
FYI: The author of this complaint is a college graduate pursuing a second degree at RIO - and is a straight "A", 4.0, Honors student.
Rio Salado College (Tempe, AZ) failed miserably to warn me and other Rio Criminal Justice students that one of its current instructors, Phoenix Police Officer YANA NORMANDIN, who has what I believe to be a tainted and sorted past that COMPLETELY disqualifies her from teaching students about the moral and legal perspectives of being a law enforcement officer. Could it get more ironic that Rio has knowingly hired, yet NOT disclosed to its students in advance, that NORMANDIN has had two restraining orders issued by the AZ courts against her, that she has failed to honor her written committment to pay her home lender back and that she has defaulted on at least one, possibley two, homes, which entered the forclosure process, for which taxpayers, you and I, in many instances, have to pay for.
She also appears to have a relative, Christopher Normandin, perhaps a son? or brother? listed at her Surprise, AZ address, who has committed and been convicted of NUMEROUS serious crimes. But please - don't take my word for this, just go onto the free, public Maricopa County Superior Court and the separate Justice Court websites, select "case search" and enter in these names, including her previous name/AKA, YANA SHAKHNAZARYAN, and you'll see for yourself.
Had I known of what I deem to be her unethical background before enrolling in her course, I would have selected another instructor. I complained in writing to YANA's boss, the equally failed, unprofessional, ethically challenged - Angela Kwan, a former Phoenix Police Officer, who did not even bother responding to my several written complaints - in direct violation of published Rio behavioral guidelines for the complaint process. Then they both conspired to destroy my academic semester by suspending me for following RIO's professional complaint process and for my legal free speech activities - which is called "retaliation" and which is illegal and the basis for my upcoming personal lawsuit against RIO and these shady criminal characters - individually. Hopefully, they each have $20k laying around for a retainer to hire a great attorney.
The days of police arrogance, abuse and predation on law abiding citizens who dare criticize the criminals also known as "the Police" - is rapidly coming to a historic close.
And not a minute too soon. Thanks BLM.
- Lack of integrity
- Lack of honesty
