- - Gate and camera claims are false; the gate does not work.

- - The unit had a cylinder lock to buy, broken furniture, and grease.
When I called to inquire about propertyI was told the property was gated with one way in and out.The property has 24 surveillance and gate code was need to enter and exit property.No one was allowed on the property between 10pm - 6am.And I was told I could use my own lock.
All of which is not true!Gate does not work and has not worked for months (per other renter)Property is left open 24hr. a day.The few cameras I seen had wires cut. The unit that was assigned to me, I first noticed that the lock was a special cylinder lock made for that door that had to be bought from them.The unit had broken furniture inside it and grease/oil on the floor.

Someone picked my lock and stole things from my unit. Nobody has checked the camera footage or called me.
This is after there was consistent flooding on the third floor, the AC doesnt cool the units AND then they raised my rent. This is complete insanity!
No customer support during these hard times

- - Company bought out in 2 years; rent rose twice in 6 months to $50; parking has 3 spots between 2 brick walls, 1 not handicapped, keypad access fails.
In the last 2 years, the company was bought out. And then, over the course of the last 6 months, the rent has been raised twice, equaling a $50 increase.
The managers on-site hand out business cards for their side business of resale.
Their parking lot only has 3 parking spots between 2 brick walls, and only one of them is not handicapped. There has been an occasion that the keypad access doesn't work, so you can't get in.

- - Right Storage on 52nd & Thomas won't grant access to my daughter's 5x5 storage after her death or share the regional manager's contact or auction date.
No response from Rightspace
My daughter passed away recently. I have the death certificate.. Im her mother the death certificate has my name on there as well proving who I am. I just need to get in the storage locker to get pictures and documents out, the manager will not give me the Regional managers name/phone number, even though I requested it and also will not allow me into the storage unit to get those few things out when I asked when it would go up for auction she wouldn't give me a date.
I was instructed I needed to go to the court to become executor of the estate before they let me in the storage unit. I have not had to become the executor for any other items I feel Right Storage ia making it difficult for me to get documents and pictures from this 5x5 storage on purpose.. With the exception of Right storage everyone has been very helpful and kind with items that have needed to be done after my daughters death. I am very disappointed in the customer service that Right Storage has offered.
I also find it extremely odd that when you request the Regional managers name/phone number , they will not give it to you that throws huge red flags.. Do better Right Storage

- - The unit has been broken into twice.
- - Screws with spacers bypass the lock.
- - No motion detection or alarm monitoring is reported.
- - Management says to file police and insurance reports.
My unit has been broken into twice. Any unit that has the same screws holding the plate for the slide as I do is being broken into.
The screws have been replaced on certain units by putting a spacer in between the screw & plate which allows them to unscrew it & bypassing lock totally. These units are not in view of cameras & the fact that you can exit building after 8PM but not enter means they have all night to rummage through renters stuff. Apparently there is no motion detection hooked up
with any alarm co. I had to pay $100,00 to have someone come out to put the correct screw in so they are now flush with slide, just like they came originally when the place was built.
The managers response was the same both times. "Just fill out a report with the police & the Insurance Co". Like this is so simple !
Doesn't take pictures & I don't think she calls police herself at all. Cause nobody has contacted me regarding break ins.

- - Not charging on the 1st disrupts balance and creates a past-due notice.
I contacted Rightspace Storage and spoke with the regional manager. Zero help.
It's is my fault she said, because funds should have been in my account three days AFTER auto pay was scheduled. The agreement we made was on the first of each month. I trusted them with that.
Not only did they fail with the auto pay, they are also now charging me past due fees. Pretty sad when a combat veteran on limited income does the right thing to avoid being late.
Dear Sir/Ma'am, I requested that the auto pay be on the 1st of every month and was agreed by Rightspace. It has been like that in previous months.
I live on a fixed income and 90% of all my bills are autopayed on the 1st of every month. I chose to auto pay due to the simplicity of it. I trust you to make it happen so I dont have an added fee. When you don't charge it on the first, it throws my account off balance.
Then I end up owning you more money when it could have been easily charged on the agreed date. Now I have a past due notice.

- - Requests to leave my father's ashes and pictures were ignored; I had a payment arrangement but was told it was too late.
My money was refused, then my unit sold to some inconsiderate low life, my request to have my FATHERS ASHES and pictures left behind were completely ignored. What kind of business is so overzealous to sell a customer's personal documents, pictures and family remains away they can't even take the money they are owed BY THE CUSTOMER.
I TRIED TO PAY BEFORE THE AUCTION DATE.
I WAS THERE WITH THE MO EY AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS TOO LATE. I HAD A PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT WITH A MEMBER OF THE RIGHTSPACE STAFF.
