- Oil leak after first trip; ~40 miles.
- Dealership unhelpful; Maverick at Phoenix dealer for engine-out repair and gasket replacement.
We took it out for the first trip and break in period. We only went about 40 miles and followed all the instructions.
When we got home my husband discovered that it was leaking oil. Upon researching it apparently it’s a common issue with these. My husband called the dealership and they were of no help initially and acted surprised like they’ve never had an issue similar to this. I called and demanded to speak with a manager, Josh D.
Called me back. After speaking with Josh D. My husband loaded up the maverick and headed to Phoenix last night. Well it’s at the dealership now in line with several others for repair.
The engine has to come out and the gasket has to be replaced. Really upset.
This is the first thing my husband and I have bought for ourselves in a long time due to college and vehicles for our girls the past several years. So we are out our brand new maverick for who knows how long.
