Ricks auto body poor work

brought in a 1998 gmc 1 ton , 15 passenger van that had 1 frozen hinge on a side door. the hinges in this van were welded on and i couldnt replace myself. estimate was $310 dollars. i expected the replacement hinge to be installed as factory original, but upon pickup of vehicle, found that the new hinge had been bolted on into the sheet metal frame, not really acceptable , but workable. in addition, the repair had left a dent in the side panel and a sheet metal gouge in painT. showed this to service writer and was told that these problems would be corrected. they called me back 4 hours later saying that the vehicle was ready. all that had been done was some paint applied over the paint gouge, nothing else. while discussing this poor workmanship with the owner and both of us getting mildly heated, but not abusive, he shoved me backward physically. i weigh in at 150 , while he was north of 200 and taller. there was no further confrontation. the police were called , but before they arrived, realizing what he had done, he offered to discount the bill. rather than turn this into a drama, i accepted and left . BAD PEOPLE, BAD WORK, STAY AWAY FROM RICKS.
