Brake or axle issues.

We purchased a new Jayco, Jay Flight Trailer on June 30th 2016, with plans for a 2000 mile trip beginning Aug 30, 2016. To be on the safe side we figured a couple of shorter trips would be smart so we headed out for a couple of weekend trips putting 750 miles on the trailer. After 550 miles we heard the brakes locking up even after unplugging the brake controller. This happens at slow speeds and is accompanied with a clicking sound. So we called our dealer, Richardson's RV , to request warranty service. They said we could not get in for five weeks or two weeks after we are scheduled to begin our trip. Richardson's offered a fix for the sway control installed by Jacyco that can be disconnected following the pictures and instructions emailed by Richardson's RV. Our unit does not have the installed box on the cross bar or under the propane tanks as illustrated. We were referred to Jayco in Indiana who could possibly provide a mobile tech to handle the problem. Jayco said they offer no such service and the problem was not theirs to solve, it was Lippert Components where they purchase their axles. Lippert has yet to answer their phone after 3 attempts. Even with the extended warranty that we purchased there is no resolution. We are stuck with finding our own remedy in order to meet our obligations for this long trip. We would not use Richardson's or Jayco again with this style of customer service. Shame on both of them for making promises such as "Jayco does not have to sacrifice in product quality or customer satisfaction" (taken off Jayco's web site). This sure seems like a safety issue to me and not something taken lightly. Towing a 5000 lb. trailer with faulty brakes is going to fall back on the manufacturer at some point.
