  • - Sliding door leaked into hardwood; paint had fibers.

Bought 2011 spec home now neighborhood is called Stonebridge in olathe ks 165th and merlin brian built house daddy Richard was developer they both are a joke. Left can of liquor thinner open on back porch we have young kids 12 foot of yard had no grass fence guy found that, sliding back door leaked had water running across hardwood into basement would not fix until he could put it back on manufacturer, pant in house looks like the roller's came from hair cutting salon had fibers in paint had to sand all walls and repaint.

Garage door opener would not fit had to buy jack shaft opener $ ,front door would not close right the wood work was spread with darker stain trying to sale it because light wood work not in style but did not seal right so just comes off so light color showing though. Floors are still noisy he tryed srewing some spots down left one screw not break off kicked it next day between toes, the worse thing calling their office and some lady answers the phone and knows more about building houses then the builders it was like she was screening calls for them.

Finally talk to the old man richard said thinking about taking you to court over the wood work had a bid for almost $4500 to fix (he said get in line and good luck with that) i could keep going but getting more and more pissed off as i think about all this. Luckily the went bankrupt and Roddrock bought neighborhood.

AI Highlights
  • - Solidly built home with above-builder-grade materials and a completed walk-through.
  • - Mark fixed issues quickly, including the garage door and a pipe.

I purchased my new home in August 2015. It is solidly built.

Many of the materials are above builders grade. Richard's son Mark completed a very picky walk through list created by my realtor. We have had a couple small issues that were taken care of immediately and above satisfactorily. My garage door rail was not installed perfectly and that caused it to not open.

Mark came to my home on Labor Day and fixed the railing. He then sent a garage door company after the holiday to make sure it was correct. The garage door installer said whoever fixed it did a great job. It has worked perfectly since that time.

We also had a pipe in the unfinished basement come apart (it was plumbed a bit too short). I discovered it one night and Mark fixed it by noon the next morning. He also sent an insulation company over the next day to replace the insulation. He plans to send a painter at the end of our year to fix any nail pops etc.

It has been a wonderful experience. Mark truly cares about the homes he builds and their craftsmanship.

Pros:
  • I am impressed by how quickly mark addresses any issues

Built my house.

AI Highlights
  • - Warranty work not completed after 1.5 years; about $15k remains.
  • - Builder is dishonest.
  • - Would not recommend; seek another option.

built my house, the king of excuses and dishonesty. Pulling teeth to get warranty work done.

Been in our house over a year and a half and most all warranty work is NOT done. Probably $15k worth. As other builders have told me, not sure how he is stll is business he is broke. they have also told me when he dies his sons will take over, and those two combined cannot male a full brain.

After dealing with his sons i can totally understand what they are saying.

I would not recomend him to build a bird house for blind birds that cannot fly. There are alot of good builders out there i would Highly suggest you find another option.

New Home issues

AI Highlights
  • - Do not call back or finish jobs.
  • - Builds tree-house homes; irresponsible.
  • - Window leaks, flooring issues, nails through walls, creaks, shrubs died.

Mather Builders do not call back, finish any job, build homes like they are tree houses, are very irresponsible, customer service is terrible, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Better off building the home yourself!!

I have tried to get simple issues on my new home fixed but the home builder is too busy going skiing. I have had window leaks, carpet issues, wood floor issues, panting throughout home looks like a kid did it, nails from the sheet rock are coming back through the walls, whole house creaks when you walk, and all the shrubs on the outside of home died within one year of the home being finished.

Class action suit!!!! Money talkes.

He did this to us. We won’t be able to give our house away. He never fixed anything. Front to back walkout.

IT FLOODED first rain. Would not fix. Donna his secretary asked if we planted flowers out front.

We didn’t have a chance…. Everything is everyone else’s fault.
