I bought the new split system on August 2nd and the compressor went out on the 18th. The installer charged me $360, claiming that the labour warranty only came into effect if they made a mistake, and since it worked, the installation was good.
Trane thinks they should have honoured the labour warranty, but refuses to sanction the dealership.
Now, I have no labour warranty at all and I can't return the unit. Stay away from Reyes and Trane.

On August 19, compressor is confirmed.
On August 20 the compressor was replaced under warranty, but the installer charged me %360, because wasn't something he damaged. Trane thinks different and so do I
