Lost money on prepay
Prebought gas from revere this year, paid 2.89 per gallon. Got the last part of the prepay and a little extra for my spring topoff.
The extra was 2.40 per gallon which means i paid at least 60 bucks more on prepay. What a rip. Quarles does not do prepay i am told and was sold prepay as a money saving program.
What a rip. Time to call philips me thinks
Over charge
They just plainly over charge people over all, I am glad a new company is in
town Quarles, got my first bill approximately $78.00
That compared to close to $500.00 approximately with Revere.
Hopefully the good old boys (crooks) are gone now for good.
Long standing, paying customer
We have propane fueled gas logs & generator. There is a 300 gal.
supply tank. I asked to be placed back on the automatic refill list over a year ago. We had 38% in our tank on Friday when I called & was asked what the gauge showed. We have just come thru hurricane Michael in a predominately isolated area in Va.
After waiting for the refill that has yet to show up as of Sun. & waiting on Dominion Energy to fix an avoidable broken line ( I attempted to call to report it but no outtage person answered), I called & spoke to their after hours ans. service. She informed me they were waiting until we were completely out & to call back when it was 0%.
I was also told the office would reach out on Monday. Well, come Monday, I will be calling their competitor.
In a crisis situation, one would think protecting your client base & giving great customer service, would come first. In our case, we owe them nothing.
Filled my tank when it is not in use
I only use the propane for the Ambiance fireplace during the winter. after the winter the tank usually stays at 30% until November.
Revere Gas decided without notice came and filled my tank to 80% and then billed me in April. I have told them not to fill it till I was ready to get it filled and it was not in my budget at the time they filled it. I received a notice shortly after saying the service was disconnected. I went to the tank and found the line from the house to the tank was disconnected, That's all fine I wasn't using the fireplace during the warm months anyway.
During the conversation with the lady I also asked why they filled it so soon and they mentioned " we needed the money" since I couldn't pay it right away they came and took the tank. When ever you call the revere Gas in Gloucester after four ring it will ring in Williamsburg office. the lady in Williamsburg says "let me guess you are in Gloucester?' when someone in the Gloucester office does answer they are VERY rude and will cut you off in mid sentence.
I have called multiple times and only got thru to the Gloucester office once. I even called from the parking lot and watched the girl behind the desk not answer the phone and when I walked in I told her that was me calling on the phone that she just sat there and was not busy.

Disappointed Customer
I called for my propane tank to be filled and came home to use my gas logs. The fireplace would not come on so I called and was told that filling the tank had nothing to do with the gas logs not coming on and that I would need a service call.
I told customer service that I could see a small pilot light. The service man came and cleaned the logs and they still would not come on so he went out to the tank and discovered that the tank was barely turned on and when it turned in on full the logs came on.
I was accused of turning the tank off and charged a cleaning fee of 150.00. I heard the service man on the phone outside explaining to the office that the tank had been turned down and that was why the gas logs were not coming on.
BEST Gas Company Around
They helped me navigate the list of requirements getting a gas tank at my house so that I can use my gas appliances expertly and with exceptional customer service. I recommend them to everyone I know.
It was very easy to schedule the install, and they helped ensure that everything was done properly so that I could get inspected by the county with no problems. The pricing on the install and the refill was very reasonable.
I am just all around satisfied, and think that more companies should share in the values and policies of the Revere Gas in Fredericksburg Virginia. No Questions, A+ 5-STARS, top-notch company.
Robbed by Revere Gas
We moved into a home that had a locked tank. When the servicemen came out to unlock it they said we had 100 gallons.
The only thing hooked to the tank was gas logs. After several friends in the area told us that Revere tended to over-charge and have horrible service we switched providers. We paid $223 to start service with that tank.
When I called about our refund, they told us that we used 37.2 gallons in a month only having turned on our logs a dozen times. Guess we paid for someone else to have propane or it went it to the big bosses pocket.
Preferred solution: Full refund
Website denial of Access
Today 12/22/2015 I have tried to log on to www.reveregas.com to make a payment and been denied access by my Kaspersky anti virus "object infected by HEUR:Trojan.Script.Generic".
On contacting the office advised "yes we have had complaints our IT dept has checked with our service provider who states everything is ok and there are no problems with the web-site". Advised to get round my virus software blocking!
After 30 years in IT I consider this the most irresponsible advice. Your IT dept requires to understand why these leading international virus detecting applications (Norton, Kaspersky) are getting it so wrong??
Revere Gas Account Review
Paying your bill on line was a pain in the neck. Now they have a so called "new system" it won't let me pay it on there either.
Revere changed my acct # but failed to let me know. It still won't let me register.Says my email is already in use. I finally had to mail it,will probably get a late fee.
Super frustrating!!
Tried to call 4 times.Got no one on the line!!
Service guy is really a salesman
Reveres service guy won't even begin to.fix anything they have sold you if it is over 10 years old. He disses the product Revere sold you and suggests you go to Revere and check out their latest special.
He really sucks. My extremely great and big fireplace propane system needed a simple thermo coupler replaced. I even went to Revere and bought it.
Not easy to install so Incallex for help. Reveres guy got here, saw what I knew (tedious job) and immediately backed up and starting trying to sell me a new gas system AND TELLING ME HOW BAD THE SYSTEM REVERE SOLD ME IN 2003 WAS!!
Revere Gas of VA extorts
I am mentally disabled and unemployed in the process of filing for disability.
Last year James City County Social Services bought me heating equipment for the winter. The city picked and hired the company, not me, and a man from Revere Gas came out to take measurements and forced me to sign paperwork against my will. I said to him I'm not paying for it the city is and he said he knows its ok and its just authorizing them to do the work. I said I really don't want to sign anything and he said they won't put in the heater tanks and lines in if I don't, and I would not be charged for anything, and they would not install the equipment if I did not sign it.
Mid way through the winter, even though I had more than enough propane left to last the winter, my tanks were refilled without my permission. They trespassed onto my property clearly marked no trespassing to tamper with equipment that was paid for by the city, fill up my tanks without my permission, and bill me for it. When I got the bill, I called them and they said the paper I was forced to sign against my will (they would not install the equipment without signing it) was a refill contract. I could not read it, I am mentally disabled, and if I didn't it they would have not installed the equipment. I was told that it was only an authorization to install what was already paid for. The salesman that came to my house tricked a mentally challenged person into signing something I said I didn’t want to sign, and threatened to not do the work the city was paying them for if I didn't sign. They refused to take action against their salesman, indicating this is an acceptable and even encouraged business practice by them.
On the phone, I gave them official trespass notice they are not to come onto my property again.
Recently, I discovered they have trespassed again onto my property, robbed where they have stolen hardware connected to the tanks that Social Services paid for, put some kind of lock on the tanks so I can't use them unless I pay them.
I have been extorted into signing a contact I was incapable of understanding, trespassed against to refill the tanks against my permission, extorted again if I don't pay them___, trespassed against again after giving them notice, robbed of hardware that belonged to me that was paid for by the city, and once again extorted I have to give them money to take the locks off and return what was bought and paid for as mine.
I am mentally disabled, unemployed, and now will be forced to live in the freezing cold this entire winter.

Good afternoon Ms. Ross,I'm sorry you feel we failed to address your concerns appropriately when you spoke with the office earlier this month. The delivery you reference occurred on October 19th.
On November 21st, you called for service on your logs. The service call was initially scheduled for December 1st, which you cancelled at 9 a.m. the morning of the appointment. It was later rescheduled for December 22nd where we serviced and cleaned your logs and found the tank service valve almost all the way closed.
We opened the valve fully and left the logs in operation.
We understood when speaking with you in November that you had someone else previously work on your logs. After finding the valve partially closed, we recommended you relay to them not close the service valve on your tank. You were charged $87 for the service call, not $150 as you state in your complaint.
