DO NOT BUY

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

DO NOT EVER BUY THIS. WAS LIES TWICE BY THIS COMPANY.

FIRST WHEN I BOUGHT IT THEY SAID THEIR WEBSITE WAS DOWN AND IT WAS DOWN FOR 6 DAYS AS THEY SAID THEY WERE UPLOADING ALL THE PROPERTIES. WHICH WAS BASICALLY BUYING TIME FOR OUR VOUCHER VALUE TO EXPIRE. THEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD STILL HONOR IT AND THEY NEVER DID. I STILL HAVE IT WHICH I BOUGHT IN 2012.

WHAT A WASTE OF $499.00. I CALLED GROUPON TOO AND TRIED TO HAVE THEM GET ME A REFUND BUT IN VAIN. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD AND PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEIR VACATIONS.

THEY HAVE PLENTY OF KNOWN PROPERTIES THAT I HAVE SEEN IN MEXICO AND THEY LOOK GOOD. THAT IS HOW THEY GET YOU TO BUY THE PKG.

Resort Stays Voucher / World Resorts International - how to file a claim

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I too was scammed by RSV. I purchased a $399 voucher and within a few weeks of my purchase their website was telling me to book at a later time when prices returned to normal (90-120 days). I kept checking back and there was no change until one day the site was permanently gone.

I have tried emailing RSV and Carol Morreale (someone who previously replied to customer service inquiries for RSV) without success. My emails no longer go through to them.

Imagine my surprise when I learned today that they are a 3-star business on the Better Business Bureau website!!!! Huh? Apparently enough of us aren't complaining! Here's a link to the BBB website for Arizona (the purported home base of Resort Stays Vouchers and World Resorts International): http://www.bbb.org/phoenix/business-reviews/vacation-certificates-and-vouchers/world-resorts-international-in-phoenix-az-100002****/ Be sure to click the "file a complaint" link at the bottom of the "Customer Complaints Summary" banner.

Contact Information for Resort Stays Marketing

I also had the same experience as everyone else. It has been very frustrating to lose money to a fraudlant company. I don't think we should sit back and let them get away with it. So here is some information for you. I cannot locate Charles A. Thompson, he has no online presence.

However, Resort Stays Marketing was also run by Jimmy (James) Demestre and Daniel Serres. They are currently running a business called Lucky Web Design out of Boynton Beach, FL. The phone number for that business is 866.677.9885, address is 9770 S. Military Trail, Suite B-7 #358, Boynton Beach 33436. Their website is http://www.luckywebdesign.com/ - and both Daniel and James can be found on Linkedin.

Interestingly Lucky Web Design takes responsibility for creating the Resort Stay Vouchers website, in addition to the World Resorts International website (which I fear is also a fradulant company based on my communication with them, though James and Daniel are not listed as officers).

Resort Stays Marketing LLC was registered in NV, though Daniel, Jimmy and Charles provided a business address in CA (UPS Store). However, it appears that Daniel and Jimmy actually live (and work) in FL.

Please take some time to contact James and Daniel, either by phone, email, in person or through their website to remind them of the amount of money they stole from you. I am also interested in a class-action lawsuit and I reached out to them to see if they would help create a website to help with this. I've also created an email if you are interested in contacting me about this rsvlawsuit@***.com.

Same Issue

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased the voucher from Living Social and spoke to the same lady mentioned in the previous complaint. Also filed a BBB complaint against the company, that was apparently sold to travel aggregators.

There were many back and forth emails to confirm and I ended up paying more for the vacation I will use that what the resort is worth. I paid an additional $400 + 80 a day all inclusive vacation for 4 days.

The initial voucher was worth $1500 for 7 days. When the site was up it was hard to find resorts that fit the $1500 price range and you would have to pay out of pocket.

Failure to honor to two vouchers, each purchased for $499.00

Two vouchers were purchased, one by me and one by my fiance. One was purchased through Living Social and the other through Miami Herald dealsaver.com.

One was a wedding gift for my daughter. Each was supposed to be worth $1,500.00 for a global stay vacation. Every attempt to use the vouchers failed, multiple emails from Carol Morreale promised that they would be valid in the future, and the expiration dates were often extended. Their site would go down, then come back up, but the vouchers were never usable.

Nothing short of a complete refund would help to resolve this matter and suing them would be well within reason. The true lost value is $1,500.00 each as that was the purchased value.

RIP OFF

We purchased several 'vouchers' directly from the company and paid them via paypal. These travel vouchers were supposed to be valid for 1 per year for 5 years.

We made the purchase in mid 2013 and within a month, there were website 'issues' that kept us from using the voucher that summer. We corresponded with Carole via email only and she apologized and assured us the website was having issues. She said we could have til the end of 2014 to use our first voucher, since the website was having problems.

Last correspondence with the company, Resort Stay Vouchers LLC, was in 9/2013.

The website is gone, emails come back as bad address, their phone number disconnected. No recourse now, other than trying to track down this shell company to try and sue....

Loss of almost $1,000.00 with two Resort Stay Global Vouchers

Refusal by the company to honor the purchased vouchers and ongoing lies regarding availability. I have emails to back this up.

One voucher was purchased through Living Social for our use and a second voucher was purchased through Miami Deal Saver as a wedding gift for my daughter and son-in-law. The Resort Stay site started adding required additional fees ($400.00 - $2,200.00 extra) instead of honoring the voucher that was purchased to cover $1,500.00 for seven days each (two vouchers). Then their web site went down. They would not return calls.

Carol Moreales returned a couple of emails promising that it was just a temporary problem.

Their site went back up for a very short time then was down again. Now they appear to have disappeared entirely.

I want to sue. Same thing, $1500 last year, but didn't get to use any of it, as the website went down within a month.

I had correspondence in the form of a "welcome" email from Charles, then a bunch of emails from Carol when the website was down and she was making excuses. We didn't discover we had been scammed until a couple of months ago when the web site disappeared and emails were not returned. Now what? I want to sue.

I'll bet you all do too. So let's share some info.

These seem like recent posts, so where are Carol and Charles located? Or contact info?

Can't sue them if I can't find them. And what is the story about them "selling" the company? The purchase I made was through Resort Stays Vouchers LLC, which shows out of LA and has the same phone number listed (the disconnected one). When I look up Charles, he now shows as "president" of Fetch My Voucher, based in FL.

Some added info, I paid via pay pal. I contacted them (knowing they could do nothing to help), but what they did do is confirm that both companies (RSV and Fetch My Voucher) are paid via the same pay pal account.

I'm looking for recent contact info for the scammers so I can sue. If you have it, please share.

I have joined the group. Same issues here but I have a lot of recent emails from them after Carol Morreale and Charles Thompson left the company as it was sold.

The emails even state I could call and they would help and that the web site would come up etc etc. for over a month i have back and forth emails where they said they'd help then all of a sudden 2 weeks ago I got blown off with "call charles thompson, he sold you the vouchers, not our problem" he doesn't even work there any more, he cant help but I called and he told me that and also that the new resort stay owners needed to honor the vouchers as they bought the client list and the site and the ongoing vouchers. I would love to sue them for the almost $1000 I have of unused vouchers and the stress and grief they have caused which is plenty along with the time i have wasted with emails etc and I have a lot of emails back and forth. Plus the bait and switch initially of buy this voucher, good for up to $1500 and then they all of a sudden added a $400 upgrade fee after the fact.

How is that legal? and not a bait and switch scam

I used a Resort Stay voucher in Acapulco 2 years ago with no issues at all and stayed at a wonderful resort. Therefore, we bought another voucher last year, and after several "hiccups," was finally able to book a stay for this coming November in Cancun.

However, now I cannot even access their website to verify reservations and dates!

Carol Morreale had emailed me several times at the end of last year, but no response within the past few weeks. Does anyone know what the issue is or what consumers can do?

Guest

Hi, I am currently working to resolve my issue and rounding up the many people that are having the same experience. Charles A.

Thompson, prior owner of Resort Stay Vouchers and Carol Morreale are siblings, brother and sister. A class action law suit is quite reasonable at this point. I have turned this over to a local news station in KC and they have picked up my complaint and are helping to resolve this as well.

You can FB message me at Lisl Klemme Lange for further contact and information. You are not the only one dealing with this, so do not feel alone!

Resort Stay Vouchers are no good!

Bought original $499 voucher on Sweetjack for 7 night stay at a whole bunch of places in the U.S.

When I tried to use it was told by Resort Stay Vouchers that it would be another $400. Paid that amount directly to Resort Stay Vouchers. Received a confirmation from Resort Stay Vouchers that a reservation had been made.

Called the resort to see if the reservation was legit. They knew nothing of it.

Tried to contact Resort Stay Vouchers and their website says it is down for construction with a countdown timer that never changes showing 30 days to go.

Resort stay vouchers

I purchased a voucher for a resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I was hospitalized and could not go on my trip.

after calling the resort, TPI, who made the reservation, I was told that nothing could be done. Then I contacted resortstayvouchers.com via e-mail and corresponded with Carole Morean, and was told that had I told them BEFORE I went on the trip that something could be done. My daughter did try to contact everyone involved and was told nothing could be done one day BEFORE we were supposed to arrive in PV Mexico.

No one wants to take responsibility and I am out $400. I had also been to the resort in June 2011 but would hesitate in returning since they were not helpful.

I too have been trying for months to redeem my voucher and now Resort Stay Vouchers has taken down their webpage, won't answer the phone or return emails, phone messages or Facebook messages. I am out $400 as well, but I refuse to be.

You can contact me via FB message ~ Lisl Klemme Lange. I have also started a FB page called Resort Stay Vouchers SCAM.

Litigation doesn't look good for RSV.
