Avoid ReloUK, or if you already are booked at the bare minimum look up your own insurance and don't use theirs.
Only finally after a year of battling have I finally received a pay out for my damaged antiques which my parents shipped from UK to Australia for myself and arrived start 2023 damaged and broken.
Upon recieving the items, the delivery man shoved a bit of paper under my nose to say "sign it's been delivered" without even giving me time to read. I then went to open my items and this was a most upsetting discovery.
Snapped solid wood legs on the rocking chair, deep gauges out of the wooden trunk and chips off the coffee table.
I contacted my parents to show them the damage, to which my father pointed out that they had said to him upon collecting the items they would wrap it in more protective layers before shipment, when he saw what had arrived at my house, he realised he had been lied to.
At this point we thought, "it's ok, we took out the insurance with ReloUK". Let me tell you, big mistake, introducing Warren from the insurance company Pacific Casualty and General which is based in Honk Kong, from the get go customer service was something clearly Warren had never heard of, after doing the nessary steps of getting the quotes for antique repair, Warren turned around and said they would not pay for anything apart from part of the rocking chair, as the other items were structually sound (never mind the deep gouges in them), when I questioned things back, they then accused me of using the items and I was trying to make false claims to the insurance company. Finally this ended with Warren telling me that because the insurance is based out of Hong Kong any law or consumer practice in your country will not apply to them.
At this point I sent the slanderous, outright rude correspondence which Warren from Pacific Casualty and General had been sending me to ReloUK, to which it was promptly responded to by the CEO who was very apologetic for the issue and organised a meeting with my father and I on how he could assist. At the start of Dec we spoke with the CEO who agreed that Warren had spoken extremely rudely and expected better from companies they partner with and agreed to pay the $2000 to get the antiques, just leave it with him a couple of weeks to get the paperwork sorted.
Being Christmas i waited till after the holidays, which the CEO kindly sent an email on his return to let me know he hadn't forgotten and was working on it.
Then...silence
Emails went unanswered, even with CC'ing in their support email
It wasn't until we sent communications via mail that finally when the letter stated the the next correspondence will be a court action, did we get a response from Paul the owner of ReloUK.
Who advised the CEO was no longer with them due to making promises like these (apparently building your customer satisfaction is a negative thing) and he would not be upholding the promise of the former CEO, however he would get in contact with the insurance company.
Again silence, then in the last few minutes we have given them before logging to the court, I receive an email from Michelle, the Managing Director of Pacific Casualty and General, who came back with an offer still a lot less than repairs were worth. I made a counter offer back to which does not match the cost of repairs of the damage caused, however gets me 2/3 of the way there.
So please heed my warning and save yourself the stress of using ReloUK

Avoid at all costs!
I highly advise against using this company. My previous experience with them warranted a 5-star review on ReloUK a few years ago, but my recent encounter has been nothing short of a disaster.
I entrusted them with the task of shipping two containers, which have yet to be delivered, and their lack of ownership and accountability has been appalling. In fact, I have now involved my solicitors to handle the situation due to their sheer incompetence.
One of my main grievances stems from ReloUK's failure to inquire about permits until after the shipment was loaded onto the vessel. When I raised this concern via email on July 17, 2023, their representative assured me that everything was in order. However, it was on the day of loading that I discovered the need for import permits.
We promptly applied for these permits, which were eventually granted, but not without incurring additional expenses and inconveniences due to ReloUK's oversight. It is important to note that the Charity in question does indeed have Charitable status, so it is misleading for them to state otherwise. The issue lies in their failure to request the necessary import permits, which resulted in us having to bear the costs and delays.
Furthermore, ReloUK has also lost one of my personal items from a previous shipment earlier this year. Despite my repeated requests for an update, they have blatantly ignored me.
My solicitors have already reached out to them today regarding this matter. Their response, or lack thereof, speaks volumes about their integrity and the way they treat their clients. I have confirmation emails to substantiate my claims, and I will make them available for consumers to form their own opinions on who is at fault.
I kindly request that ReloUK share any email correspondence they may have sent me after July 17, 2023, specifically inquiring about permits. The only time such a request was made was after the container had already been loaded onto the vessel.
This lack of foresight and disregard for proper procedures is simply unacceptable.
In conclusion, I strongly caution individuals against entrusting their belongings to this company. Their actions, or lack thereof, speak volumes about their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction. It is evident that they prioritize their own interests over those of their clients. Please think twice before considering ReloUK for any shipping needs.
On a separate note, I must mention that the team responsible for physically loading the goods has always been great.
They have shown professionalism and dedication in their work. The issue at hand primarily stems from the leadership and management of ReloUK. It is their lack of oversight, accountability, and failure to address customer concerns that has marred my experience with the company.
It is disheartening that such a capable team on the ground is let down by their superiors. This further emphasizes the need for potential customers to exercise caution when dealing with this company.
- On the ground staff great
- Leadership and operations useless no ownership whatsoever

Verified ReviewerIncreased invoice once removed belongings!
They knew what the cubic feet of our belongings were before they collected. A previous company had already pelleted and weighed it.
They increased the invoice by £7000 to ship our belongings from the USA to the UK and expected us to pay the difference.
Basically keeping our belongings hostage as we have tried to collect our stuff and place it back into our storage but they are demanding over £4000 for us to collect our things (which are still in the USA)
I would avoid this company like the plague
- Thieves
- Threatening
Preferred solution: To collect our belongings which is mainly personal possessions, nothing of material value

Thieves

I would like to hear from other customers who have had their property stolen from this company, as I intend to pursue them via the police. I echo the previous review.
Relocated from UK to Sydney in January 2019. Cargo arrived with over £5000 worth of property missing from different boxes. ReloUK flatly deny any responsibility with no investigation or apology- insulting email response blaming it on us. It defies logic that I would relocate across the world at great expense, to work as a doctor, and then fabricate missing items.
Management complicit.
Boxes incorrectly labelled as 'china and glass' when electrics, tools, kitchenware, silverware, jewellery, watches are missing from within. Thieves.

Not recommended
I have chosen this company to move our belongings from UK to Western Australia as the reviews were very good, however our experience wasn't so good with them. We have been quoted 8-12 weeks for this destination, but it took 16+ weeks, they also provided misleading information when our vessel should arrive and never informed us that our vessel will be unloading our things at Singapore and that another vessel would ship them to Perth WA, so I had to search for information myself and chase them up.
If this would be advised I would have never booked their service because our items have been moved too many times and quite a few things arrived damaged.. Some of our furniture wasn't even wrapped properly and was damaged badly, our nearly new condenser dryer wasn't wrapped at all and arrived bent in few places as if it was thrown out of the container like garbage.
Frustrating, delays and loss
We were moving from London to Cape Town, and chose ReloUK partly due to the very good reviews it had received. Though our initial interaction was great, the overall experience very frustrating.
The quote, organisation, pick up and packing process was great. In fact we forgot a some belongings and ReloUK helped us send an extra box over and didn't charge more. The first few weeks were good, with regular consignment updates.
Then the updates stopped after 3 weeks. We had to email and phone for updates and received the standard official response about boats needing to reach capacity, and very little real information. I was worried and frustrated. After a lot of follow up on our part, our stuff finally arrived, taking close to 4 months. We were neither prepared, nor informed, that it could take so long. We spent a lot of time and money, having to buy stuff we already had, due to the delay. Worst of all, a box has been misplaced, which we are yet to receive, if we ever do. Very upset.

Great Service
Although it is widely regarded as the most stressful experience in someones life, moving with ReloUK took away the majority of the stress enabling me to concentrate on the rest of the move.
We used ReloUK to relocate our family to Dubai - they were professional and treated us as valued customers. The experience from the quotation to the unpacking in our new home was brilliant.
We cannot fault them - if you are looking to relocate this is the company to use. Friendly, reliable and efficient.
Relouk International Shipping Review from London, London
If you're looking for the promised door to door serive, ReloUK are who you are looking for. Having relocated many times (and it having got more stressful as our family has grown) I can honestly say this was the smoothest move.
Relocating a family of 5 was a walk in the park for them, on time, hard working, polite and informative. Any concerns were addressed directly by Paul Hunter, I can not fault them.
Relouk International Shipping Review
Fantastic Company!! Recently relocated to the UAE and can't fault any aspect of the service.
Horrendous experience with ReloUK
I contracted ReloUK to ship my goods from London to Singapore and its been a nightmare ever since. The goods were picked up on 26th of May with assurance of them being delivered in 8-10 weeks.
Its been 8 weeks already and the goods are yet to be loaded on a ship, forget being delivered. For the last 4 weeks, its been impossible to get hold of anyone in the company to provide me with any update. They have taken full payment incl.
insurance fee taken my goods and are now not responding. PLS PLS PLS STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Fantastic Company!!
I have used Relouk to move me and my family to Singapore and experienced the full white glove service. My contact, Luke, provided me with all the information and help I needed to put my mind at ease.
they managed to move my whole house with ease and even offered advice on the day, the removal guys were knowledgable and packed our items with care.
My wife and were very nervous as we have never done anything like this before but I can honestly say that we need not have worried at all, the team at relouk are experts at what they do. Use them, you will not be disappointed.
Everything you don't want!
I used ReloUK's service when moving from London to UK and every stage of the 2 month process went wrong. On the day of the pickup the movers were supposed to come at 9am, they got their at 5pm and I had to cancel my leaving party.
While packing my furniture windows were smashed and wall were dinged. after 2 months (1 month pledged) my ($5000) furniture arrived and was ruined and I have now spent 4 months trying to process an insurance claim, that ReloUK do what ever they can to dodge, with an endless list of excuses as to why the claim is invalid. I paid for a premium service and the opposite.
The owner of ReloUK is argumentative, won't assume responsibility and he threatened me on email with legal proceeding if I was to share my story, so I take great pleasure in warning everyone interested in reading this. If you want delays, pay over price, have your belongings ruined, be lied to and threatened, call ReloUK
Avoid ReloUK - The Moving Company
We paid ReloUK to move our personal possessions from London to Australia (including 'carefully export packing' our property). When the shipment arrived we were horrified to find that framed family portraits had been packed in with 15kg hand weights, smashing them.
Clothes had been rolled around metal coat hangers and dumped into unlined cartons. This caused damage to clothing including holes, permanent creasing and marking.
We advised ReloUK immediately and made an insurance claim however, the insurers would only compensate us for the broken picture frames and not the damaged clothes or shoes as this was the result of ReloUK's poor packing not the actual shipping process. Simply the worst company we have ever dealt with.
Poor service
shocking level of service, poor packing leading to extensive damage, rude and obnoxious management from top down, excuses all the way, what else !!!! completely underselling certain aspects leading to not being able to rightfully claim for damage prompting me to investigate whether they are licensed to offer products they have no idea on.....in short leave this company alone and especially keep away from the MD who seems to have a very large chip on his shoulder as all he is concerned with is the reputation of his company with what seems like little thought for his clients.
