Reliance Relocation and Greenway Van Lines ROBBED ME!

Both of these scam outfits took my deposit money when I needed to be relocated. I cancelled with Reliance LONG before the move date and Greenway did not make it on the agreed date. Greenway promised that they would come for three days in a row and never showed up "due to weather", and I told them to forget it b/c I needed to be gone out of my apartment. I have fought through my bank and credit card company, and these outfits refuse to return my money. Also, my bank and credit card company have sided with them! Go with them to relocate you if you want to get robbed! Just my experience and my opinion!

On October 10 2012, I was caught in a web of fraudulent moving enterprices which are one and the same group of people. I contacted a company called Statewide Vaqn lines to move my goods from Houston Texas, I send an evaluation of my goods with 7 pictures that clearly showed the good in the warehouse room with all items in display. statewide van lines gave me a contract to move the material I signed the contract clearly stipulating alln the terma and the cost.

Two days later, Statewide called me and said their driver will be there to pick my goods up.

When the driver showed up it was a company called Greeway van lines. They told my wife they were actually statewide even though their van label says "Greenway"

Anyway they picked up the goods, they left 6 items behind stating that the items exceeded the space negotiated in my contract. They alswo requested my wife to pay them $100 in addition for "Overcharge" , which she paid. She also signed a piece of paper supposedly as a release "in case we are checked by" POLICE" during transportation.

Three weeks later I got a call that our goods were ready to be delivered except there is a problem.

Greeway Van lines , who now says they do not have anything to do with Statewide van lines says I owe them an aqdditional $3,100.00 over and above the contracted amount. greenway van lines want the money in cash right before delivery. I could not afford it , so as of the time of writing, Novemver 14, 2012, I still do not have my goods.

Ssince then, Greenway has threatened to auction my goods if i do not paY UP. Greenway has faxed to me papers to show that my w2ife signed a "new" contract with them when they picked it up and they say the Statewide contract do not matter any more.

The problem is all the "New Contract" is actually a forgery in which someone copied my wife's signature on the release form, into all these new papers. She did not even discuss contract or saw any piece of contract paper while Greenway picked up. We are at a stand off now and Greenway/Statewide Van lines is still holding my goods. We are forming a class action, or I will like to join one. These *** of the earth should be stopped befor the hurt someoneelse.

Unbelivable!!!! If you notice that all the positive comments come from a James or Michael from Tamarac, FL. Go with a real moving company Atlas Van Lines!!!

I was scheduled to move my storage but after some discussion with dave re: my inventory, we decided to hold off on the move as he stated it would be best for me to have someone I know at the storage site.

I asked Dave if I should cancel the order as I was already having concerns about the horrific communication. He said I would loose my deposit. "Okay, I said, thanks. I will plan on calling GWay when I am at the storage site. " Three weeks later, they bill me for two charges: 400.00 and 450.00. I call them and they say, well you cancelled or if you set up another order, we will apply the charges. The second quote was 300 higher and they won't even offer me anything in writing stating that they will credit me with the 850.00 or 1050(if you include my original deposit) once I put in this order.

Nicole, I used Greenway Van Lines I think you have them confused with someone else because there is no Max that works there I have done several moves with them and I know all the agents and owners personally. THERE IS NO MAX AT GREENWAY VAN LINES, don't bash a compamny that you did not go with it is not very nice, if you look at your paper work towards the top and this is the paper work that they provide to you on the pickup it will show you what company you used. I hope to see a different review the next time I logon with an apology on your end for bashing a company that you didn't even use.

Steve if you read the contract the way I did when I used Greenway Van Lines you would see that they state the cancelation fee's under there further they state that if they cannot fulfill pikcup date that they will refund you deposit in full. Don't bash a company when you were in the wrong. They also have the general agreement avilable on thier website, Greenway Van lines is the most honest company I have used, just because you can't read and you screwed up doesn't mean they are in fault.

:( I am not happy with Greenway in the least. Number one they picked up my stuff on the 18th of Sept my estimate was doubled when they actually arrived and it has not been delivered as of yet.

The only time I could reach them was prior to my pick up once they had it, its like finding a needle in a haystack. I was told it would be here Wednesday so I made arrangements and waited NO SHOW NO CALL same thing Thursday. I finally get Max on the phone today who is my contact and he gives me the drivers number, who was extremely rude he said hed be here today but didnt know what time. I told him I *** work for this I need to know he told me "you dont have to *** work thats your problem " and hung up :( :( :( :( :( Unreal Im paying 4400 bucks for some guy to talk crazy and hang up on me with my stuff in his truck and hes somewhere sleeping.

So I call the main office back tell Max what happen he calls the driver and guess what?? He was confused they will not be here until tomorrow.Im furious and Im trying to research whatever I can to get some type of satisfaction.

Tracy I went with Greenway Van Lines and they are not affliated or have nothing to do with Reliance Relocation. You shoul dhave gone with greenway Van Lines everything they promissed me was honored.

They also gave me a discount on my move even though everything went smooth. Greenway Van lines is the right way to move,.

Relience Relocation is a huge scam. The don't follow through, they steal, they even tried to give me other people's stuff because the didn't want to deliever it to the real owners.

Go with them, then don't complain. SUCKY business!

You Guys need to read your contract I moved with Greenway van Lines and Had no problems they are excellent and provided me with great service I did read on the credit card authorization form about cancelation fee etc. if they missed the date of the pickup they would have returned your deposit and not charge you cancelation fee being it was thier fault, I think what happen steve is that you decided to cancel on the day of the pickup in which case they have the right per contract to charge you cancellation fee, and keep the deposit as per the terms and condition.

If in fact the credit card company sided on thier side is because you canceled on teh day of the pickup and it had nothing to do with them being late. I think you are just pissed off and lying about the cancelation fee. Stop trying to bash a company because of your self ignorance!
