First, I wouldn’t recommend this company. After what I paid for their system and their “promise” to me, and their so-called integrity, they have left me all alone, and left me to deal with mold they should’ve taken care of. Steer clear.

In April the check valve on my condensate line broke sending water all over the HVAC closet. Reliable came out and replaced it but must not have been dried properly.

I opened the closet several months ago and there is mold growing on the walls, on the duct insulation, and other places in the closet. I had a mold specialist come out who actually opened the AC system. The fan inside was rusted and there was rust on other metal parts. I sent Reliable pictures of everything.

Even the new Aprilare filter I had their technician put in in April was still damp and rusted when checked in September. My contract with Reliable says the warranty is not void if I have other companies service my system. And it has been maintained the last three years by another company. I let Reliable know at the beginning that I had severe asthma and a lung disease so wanted this taken care of quickly.

They have been dragging me back and forth for three weeks and have finally said that since another company has been maintaining my system that the broken part is not Reliables fault and will not do anything. This is an original part of the system and the other company had nothing to do with this part breaking. I had asked all along for Reliable to have management come out and look at it but they couldnt be bothered.

So they are leaving an ill, elderly woman to take care of something contractually they are responsible for. And now I am going to seek legal action because they are in the wrong.

User's recommendation: My recommendation to future customers of Reliable Heating & Air is to run away. Since becoming a corporation they obviously don’t care about their customers.
