Negligence and Defamation from Regions resulted in wrongful arrest and hospitalization of a resident at The Courts in Doral. On Feb 14 the Security Guard called 911 for 2 kids that entered under the gate and were walking around. The kids told him they live here. Our son, who had nothing to do with these 2 kids, had also been walking, so the security guard imagined that the 2 kids were meeting with our son and were up to something. Our son had also told the security guard that he lives here. He didnt see the kids do anything, he stated this on the 911 call. When a cop arrived, even thou the 2 kids that entered under the gate never met with our son, the security guard pointed out our son to the cop. He didnt look like a cop because he's a K9 officer wearing a jacket and a cap, so our son didn't recognize he was a cop and ignored him when he called him from the back from about a block away. This upset the cop who ran after our son, assaulted him, slammed him on the floor while in handcuffs, arrested him for no reason, charged with Resisting. The other 2 kids and their parents were also harassed. The security guard saw my husband and me, and the other kids parents come out, and did nothing to retract himself from his suspicions, as this proved the kids lived here, he did nothing to stop police from taking our son. Our son, agitated by all that happened to him, was taken to the hospital. In the morning, we requested the security guards report of the incident for our lawyer; not only did they take about a month, but they lied on the report, saying our son entered under the gate at 1am. Our son entered at around 10:30pm with his dad in our car. There are cameras at the entrance to prove this. We moved out of this place, no one cared about what happened to us, try to help us, or apologized to us. On August 7 we sent a Demand Letter to give them the opportunity to make things right, on Sept 8th we sent a final Letter. As of today, we havent heard back from them. What this Security Company did to us is a disgrace.
