Region of Peel Human Services ripping off clients with rigid computer time and printing limits even when the center is totally empty

AI Highlights
  • - Criticism of rude staff and poor service at Region of Peel Career Services.
  • - 1-hour daily computer time and 20-page printing limits criticized; manager Julie Hope allegedly unavailable.
Original review updated Oct 11, 2025

Manager Julie Hope and almost all the other employees at the Region of Peel Career Services at 10 Peel Center Dr., Suite B, Brampton, ON L6T 4B9 need to be fired. They're almost all totally rude jerks with zero intelligence and zero communication and customer service skills.

Their 1 hr. per day computer time limit and 20 page per day computer printing limit are totally idiotic. This shows that they're not taking their jobs seriously and not really interested in helping clients with the real rate of unemployment here being 25-30% with over 20% in Law alone.

They've totally forgotten that the customer comes first and that the customer is always right. They're the laziest, most dysfunctional people on the face of the earth.

Almost all the black employees there are totally useless. They have zero ability to think for themselves. They're all engaging in useless personal chit chat and personal business on their employer's time.

The manager is constantly playing hooky and is never ever available.

Call Manager Julie Hope at (905) 793-**** ext. 6714 and tell her what you think about their computer time and printing limit.

Call the Mayor Patrick Brown at (905) 874-**** and Region of Peel Councillors including Pat Fortini at (905) 874-****.

TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE LOUSY EMPLOYEES!

Cons:
  • Almost everything about them

Preferred solution: Change in policies.

User's recommendation: TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE LOUSY EMPLOYEES!

  • - New worker used an old email and said I was ignored.
  • - Karen Boldland had no issues contacting me.
  • - I can share email conversation screenshots.

The pictures proved show the conversations my pervious worker (Karen Boldland) I we’re having via email, which is the one I provided to her when I first met her in 2019. Now can someone kindly explain to me how my new worker (Lillian Mcgoveren) got access to a complete different email that I haven’t used in years saying “she was being ignored” I haven’t used my Hotmail account in literal YEARS because I don’t remember the password lool so I don’t understand what happen if Karen and I were talking perfectly fine through outlook, how the *** did Lillian get a hold of my Hotmail account if my outlook account was the one I provided and was speaking to Karen boldland.

Original review Sep 04, 2020
Im not sure how my NEW worker got ahold of an old email address that is no longer in use saying she has been ignored, when the worker I had before had ZERO ISSUES getting a hold of me with the email I provided. Now its either something was done wrong, or Im being lied to.

Because there was no problem with my email before when I had my previous worker (Karen Boldland) I can send pictures of our conversations via email. And like I said its either something was done wrong or I am being lied to.

Work for yourself. Just correct the issue and move on.

Its like 700 per month...not even grocery money.

I'd be jumping off OW so that none of these workers you talk about even have clients. There is no point cause 700 per month ain't worth the hassle or investigations or work they make you do.

Region of Peel Caseworker LILLIAN McGOVERN's difficult and dysfunctional behaviour

AI Highlights
  • - LILLIAN McGOVERN is described as difficult, hassling recipients for documents.
  • - They refuse to transfer to informed, pragmatic caseworkers.
Updated by user Feb 04, 2019

They can also be reached at 1-88*-***-****.

Original review Feb 01, 2019

Region of Peel Caseworker LILLIAN McGOVERN is a very difficult, stubborn and obstinate person. She has extremely poor listening skills and zero street smarts.

She has zero knowledge of the real job market and won't listen to anyone who tries to inform her. She hassles Social Assistance Recipients for documents that she already has in her files. She's totally negligent in her duties. She hassles Social Assistance Recipients for documents that were never given to them and that are her responsibility to have in her own files.

She ridiculously hassles Social Assistance Recipients for tax returns by refusing to understand that Social Assistance doesn't qualify as income for tax purposes and that Social Assistance Recipients don't need to file tax returns if they do not owe any tax.

Both LILLIAN McGOVERN and her Supervisor PATRICIA KOVAR refuse to transfer Social Assistance Recipients to other more informed and pragmatic caseworkers. LILLIAN McGOVERN can be reached at (905) 793-**** ext. 8171.

Her Supervisor PATRICIA KOVAR can be reached at (905) 793-**** ext. 8409.

Call them and tell them what you think of their difficult and dysfunctional behaviour and their refusal to transfer to other caseworkers.

Reason of review:
Poor customer service

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
