Reeves and Associates

Hired them for a K-1 issue and they did nothing but file and collect money on two different attempts. Don't hire them.

Patricia who works in Las Vegas was a total ***. Spent over $5,000 on their first attempt. They came back and said the case was denied. They told us we may have some other options and it would cost another $3,000 with payments of $250 a month.

We waited and waited and finally got a call from them telling us it had been denied again.

So we went in to discuss other options and without getting into detail figured it was time to cut our losses. Total *** waste of time in the Las Vegas office.

We have a pending petition at this law office. My fiancé has paid more than half of the fees.

Requirements have been sent for 3weeks already and did not made an update as to the status of the application.

He called for an update and was informed that they are still reviewing the papers. Such a waste of time.

We hired this firm to handle a K1 petition in Ph. Fees were near $5000 They did minimal work and did not advise us what additional documents were needed for the Interview, hence the case was put in Administrative Processing.

We had a very strong case, with bona fide relationship. I feel they are directly responsible for our case being denied. The attorney supposedly handling our case I estimate spent no more than 10 minutes on the file, and the paralegals are totally incompetent.

Sorry to say all this, but it's true- beware Reeves Inc! You would be advised to get actual legal help or file the petition yourself.

We hired Reeves & Associates of California and Manila to assist us with an emergency US tourist visa because I am American and my wife is Filipina and I needed her to be with me as a medical proxy for a major cancer surgery. The law firm charged us a lot of money in advance and then took took over a month to do what others subsequently did in only two days and they changed the forms my wife filled out making them generic and weak, for example making it look like she had never worked by replacing her work history with "N/A"'s -- and most importantly they failed to follow the preferred US federal interview scheduling process. As a direct result, the US Embassy denied the visa in a 90-second interview saying the reason was the paperwork the law firm prepared.

When we attempted to ask the law firm about what they had done, they ignored our letters. Then, when we wrote a strong letter we received a call from a managing partner in which he yelled and threatened that we were not to write nor fax no otherwise communicate with anyone in the firm other than himself and would not listen to a word we said; it was a scary call.

Following the visa denial, we received the name of a non-lawyer assistance group from the US Embassy and they re-did the paperwork in a single day and obtained an interview for us two days later and my wife was approved with a 10-year visa.

After months of complaining Reeves & Associates recognized the validity of our complaint and gave us some of our money back, but they refused to explain why their accounting office also canceled a $100 credit they had previously issued us and they refused to discuss that we believed all of our money should be returned as they did nothing constructive for us and they wasted over a month at such a critical crisis time with surgery pending.

We have since gone to the US for the surgery and returned to Manila. The surgery was successful and I am cancer-free. But we wonder how many others have paid big bucks for similar treatment from Reeves and Associates?
