Reeds did nothing at all, not even a call back. They got an “F” on gunbroker.
Bergara (BPI) go back with me very timely and the issue is resolved with the manufacturer. Thank you Bergara.
To Reeds, if you are selling a product then have the foresight to take responsibility to help negotiate with the manufacturer. If you don’t care, then don’t sell high ticket items like they are from a dime store.

I wrote this on Bergara as well. I would have written one on Bergara International but their company information is not available. Real issue with Reeds; I specifically asked for Reeds to get with Bergara and get a resolution, but both Reeds and Bergara refused to get together to resolve so now I am more than frustrated. Received a new rifle, purchased from Reeds Family Outdoor Outfitters. Sent two pictures; 1) bolt head showed corrosion (Bergara said in an email looked like there were a lot of rounds fired through it), Reeds said it was dried grease and to just clean it. I did clean it, but it won't come off with normal bore cleaner (as recommended by Reeds) and a rag; this is imbedded. 2) sticky dried grease in the bolt near the handle (two distinctly different pictures things, both cannot be the same thing). Again, reeds said to clean it and BPI just ignored that issue. Additionally, had an issue with the cheek piece in the way of the bolt extraction; Bergara said just mark it to get it back in the same place; WHAT...this is supposed to be an entry level long-range rifle; you don't just move it in and out and get it out of place. That's like taking a scope off and on and expecting it to be the same. Last item was the length of pull adjustment issue. Taking out the spacers to reduce the length of pull the screws are too long. Bergara said just get shorter screws and I could buy from them. WHAT...take a hacksaw to the screws or buy from them. Why don't they include with the rifle? If I was buying a WW2 30 Carbine or SKS packed in cosmoline grease I understand I have some cleaning to do, but a new in the box with Bergara touting their exceptional quality, this is crap! Not only crap, but the level of service from their dealers is even more crap. The company needs to know their dealers are incapable of handling customer complaints and taking care of issues Overall, with the issues makes me wonder what the rest of the thing is like that I cannot see; I have little faith in the whole system I have in-hand. Bergara, BPI and Reeds seem to ignore some of the questions and/or point the finger back. At the end of the day it is a Bergara Internationals issue; their rifle, their product, their reputation. They have not been in the US market very long and at this rate probably not a long future. I normally don't bother with reviews, but this takes the cake. I have not had the money before to buy a truly long-range, precision rifle; all the marketing etc. from Bergara led me to this path. I have more in accessories as the rifle (scope, mounts, break, bi pod, sling, and ammo). I am in evaluating if I can return the accessories and calculating the restocking fees, but the ammo ($425 worth) I cannot return so it is worthless, be lucky to get 50 percent.
