Resolved: High Pressure Sales / Predatory Company BBB rated F
The contract was cancelled with no cancellation fees. Do NOT sign up with them. EVER.
I've been blown off and ignored by their customer service.
I was never given a copy of said contract to review.Their sales persons are paid on commission for signing up new "marks" and because of this, are not inclined to be honest OR work with you on cancellation. I needed to cancel my contract for medical reasons due to an upcoming surgery (and this is one of the only reason they'll cancel) and they refused the cancellation at no charge. They said that they would cancel for $350 plus the one more installment. I declined at that time.
Since then, I've been asking them to tell me the current cancellation fee and I've been ignored. There is no way to get in contact with them if they don't feel like responding. Furthermore, it is illegal in [GEOGRAPHIC_DATA] to prevent someone from cancelling an automatic renewal on a contract. I went in person to demand that at the very least the automatic renewal would be stopped as it is might right and illegal to refuse, and the crooked sales person at the La Mesa Chuze Fitness said that I wasn't allowed to cancel automatic renewal for another seven months.
FYI As of yesterday 5/6/2026 their website is mysteriously down.
I'm going to have my bank block payment to them. If they want to take me to court, so be it.
Preferred solution: I want my contract cancelled.
