Red Star Traders - Cantina Arc Lounger Set Review from North Naples, Florida - Image 2

Red Star Cantina Arc Loungers are disintegrating after only a year outside! I spent over $1,000 on 2 of these & am very unhappy with their quality.

Furniture looks nice but lasts 1 year - pretty expensive

We spent ~$6k on many pieces of the Cantina collection 2 years ago. The lounge chairs are great.

Unfortunately the wicker has peeled off on the tables, chairs, and loveseat and is basically ruined. All of the cushions are white vs. the red they came in and do not hold their color or shape in full sun. Yes, we live in AZ and all of the furniture is in full sun but for the items to fall apart so fast is ridiculous.

To make matters worse, when I called to see if there is anything that could be done since the warranty is only 1 year, they basically laughed at me. They told me that I should have covered it when not using it. Really? We use it year-round.

If you live in a hot climate and actually want to use your furniture year-round, this is not the collection for you. For a collection like this, I would hope that RST stood behind their product more.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I ordered a model OP-OL04S-brn, zero gravity chair and it came missing parts. When I contacted customer service, I received a very nice email from Katie Chapman, Customer Service representative and after asking me several questions (like color, model, order number, etc.) she nicely told me they couldn't help me.

How hard is it to send me a few missing parts? I would have gladly paid for the postage but that wasn't in the cards.

I guess they get this junk from China and just pass it on to the the American consumer. All I can say is: BUYER BEWARE!

HOMECLICK AND RED STAR TRADERS stole money from our credit card in *** job

We ordered a Red Star Traders from Homeclick. They charged us for the toilet and never sent us but sent us a phony Fed Ex number with expected delivery date.

We waited for the toilet and it never came. Called Fed Ex and they informed us there was no package picked up from sender. 2 1/2 weeks later they delivered the wrong toilet. We asked for an exchange, they said they would work on it and call us later.

They never called us and then we received a phone message from a freight company wanting us to pick up a toilet they could only deliver from 10 - 3 while we were at work. The only way to get it was to drive 120 miles round trip. They told us NOT to bring the first toilet back. We waited for instructions about returning the first toilet.

They NEVER contacted us to give us instructions for a return. Instead, they sent a UPS man to our house while we were at work (WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION that he would be coming). He left a note about picking up the package. We tried to arrange dropping it off at the UPS store.

The lady LIED to us four times about having to contact their warehouse and wait for someone to respond to her, etc. She NEVER returned the calls or sent the E-mail instructions she promised to send for returning the product. We had no address to send it to, and we weren't paying for shipping. We called them 4 times in 2 days to make arrangements and she kept saying she would send us an E-Mail with instructions for returning the toilet.

SHE DID NOT. Instead, after only 1 week, they sent us a nasty E-Mail accusing us of stealing the toilet and charged us 304.54 for the toilet that they scammed us on returning. They made it impossible for us to return. I think they were trying to force the toilet on us to avoid paying return ship charges and then take the additional money.

They made these charges to our card without our permission or knowledge. They charged us even after we contacted them 4 times and they did not provide any of the return information. They scammed us and then tryed to make us look dirty. It has been a nightmare.

Additionally, we purchased a 450.00 Kohler toilet from Homeclick and it arrived with a big burr in the porcelain. We decided to just live with it rather than go through a hassle. Then all of this happened with the 2nd toilet.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE CONS.

Please, Please, Please for the sake of everyone write to the BBB about these issues. The majority of companies will step up to the plate when the get a complaint letter through BBB.

If you don't believe me look up CarMax and you will see 99 % of all complaints were handled after the complainant wrote the BBB.

It's great to sound off here but it gets you nowhere.

Write the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Their purpose is to ensure the consumer (US) are getting what we should.
